MAP03: The Nether World is the third map of Hellcore. It was designed by Robert Babor (Fusion) and uses the music track "".

Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.


Other points of interest[edit]


  1. In the flashing blue rooms, enter the western room and head for the northwest corner. Press on the west side of the skull here, then quickly enter the eastern room and head for the southeast corner where was once the pillar to teleport to a secret room with a soul sphere. Remember that the pillar with the secret teleporter lowers only once. (sector 215)
  2. In the same blue room with the switch related to Secret #1, press on the middle part of the west wall to reveal a secret passage leading to a super shotgun. (sector 221)
  3. Raise the bridge leading to the exit via the switch behind the red door, then head all the way to the northeast part of the map and cross the first bridge. Jump to the east to teleport to a secret area with a chaingun. (sector 225)
  4. Entering Secret #1 will open a new compartment in Secret #3 which holds a megasphere. Note that if you grab the megasphere, you will not be able to leave the pit you are in unless you enable jumping in (G)ZDoom. (sector 216)
