MAP03: Up and Around is the third map of Scythe. It was designed by Erik Alm, and uses the music track "Hiding the Secrets" from Doom.

Walkthrough[edit]

Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Essentials[edit]

After two maps where you were not able to get a shotgun, you can finally get one in this map. When you head out into the courtyard, it will be to your left, but to get it, head to the other side of the courtyard and press the switch on the left to lower it. Pressing the other switch on the right here will open the bars north and west, so take this path around to a bigger room. The hallway in front of you is blocked, so in this room, find the switch and press it to open the door directly behind you. You will be able to obtain the yellow key here. Now head back through the hallway and open the yellow bars to proceed. Go south, since you cannot open the blue bars yet, and press this switch. Head back into the courtyard to find the blue key. Now you can open the blue bars and exit the map.

  1. From the open room next to the yellow key, jump out of the window facing the shotgun to lower down a pillar with a berserk. (sector 124)
