Walkthrough[edit]
Essentials[edit]
Open the door in front of you and go up the stairs to a hall with imps, then turn left (south) and press the skull switch at the end of the hall to lower the walls to your left and right. Go west across a bridge with a rocket launcher and kill the mancubi and cacodemons waiting on the other side, then go south and follow the path up a staircase to a gargoyle switch, which will lower a lift leading to the floor above. Ride the lift up and go north past some chaingunners and a mancubus to another lift, ride it down then go north to find another mancubus at the top of a long staircase. Go down the stairs until you drop into a water pit, then climb up to the top of the metal steps in the pit to find a super shotgun and the yellow keycard.
Taking the yellow key will lower the water, revealing a compartment in the north-east corner with a supercharge and a satyr switch. Press the switch to lower a teleporter in the middle of the steps and kill one to three arch-viles that teleport in, then use the teleporter to get back to the bottom of the long staircase. Go back to the top of this staircase and drop down the hole in front of you, then go south and east to drop into a pit with some imps. Go north to a set of bars and open the yellow door next to them, then press the button on the north wall to open the bars and go through them to enter a dark hallway. Approach the crushers at the end of the hallway and kill the demons that teleport in, then step past the crushers to enter a sludge pool.
Follow the sludge south and west past a cacodemon and some chaingunners to a junction with two doors, then open the north door to see a partial invisibility being guarded by imps, shotgun guys and a baron of Hell (or arch-vile on Hurt Me Plenty skill level or higher). Go up the steps at the north end of the room to enter the red key area, which is sitting on a pillar surrounded by lava, then follow the path anti-clockwise around the lava to reach a gargoyle switch which will lower the pillar. After getting the key, enter the teleporter on the east side of the lava to go back to where you found the partial invisibility, where three to six revenants have appeared.
Go back to the junction with two doors and open the red door to find a teleporter leading back to the long staircase, then retrace your steps to the skull switch south-west of the starting point and go east to another red door. Pass through this door, noting the spiderdemon that teleports to the starting room, then go forward to the blue key room and deal with some revenants and zombies that teleport in. Drop into the sludge pit east of the blue key and go down the steps to reach a button, which will raise steps leading up to the key, then defeat the revenants that appear behind you before using the lift to climb out of the sludge. With the blue key, go back to the hall west of the starting point and head north to a lava pit—do not fall into the pit as it is inescapable. Walk east into the neighboring room and go up the steps with health bonuses, then follow the trail to the blue exit door and open it to see the exit switch in front of you.

Secrets[edit]
Official[edit]
- In the water room at the north end, with the berserk pack and steps with armor bonuses, climb the steps to the east side and use the recessed wall on the east side. You will reveal a cage and a switch. Shoot the switch, get to the bottom of the water room, then west. Use the north lift to get a megaarmor. (sector 329)
Non-official[edit]
- To get the BFG9000, go to the bridge with health bonuses to the east of the lava pit with the red key. Walk through the grey square arch to the north, and then back. Look east, towards the BFG and past it, and you will see a wall has momentarily opened, revealing a skull switch. Shoot it. A series of columns in the sludge pit to the west of the BFG will rise, allowing you to climb up to get it.
