MAP03: Zombied! is the third map of BOOMER: Beyond Vanilla. It was designed by Fernito and uses the music track "Goin' down the hard way" by Fernito and Enzo Cabrera. The par time defined in the DEHACKED lump is 20:00.

Secrets[edit]

  1. At the first fork, head on either path and in the middle, jump south to get a blur artifact. (sector 789)
  2. In the central area with water, head northeast and southeast to get a berserk pack. (sector 2896)
  3. In the hall east of Secret #2, use the panel on the west wall after the four columns (but before another one), then quickly run east and south to get armor bonuses and a soul sphere. (sector 1133)
  4. In the central halls, head north past the yellow bars and use the lift to the east. Ride up and head a bit north, then look west. Use the red light and drop to the south to find an open door leading to a chaingun, two green armors, and a medikit. (sector 3718)
  5. Head west of Secret #4 to the megaarmor room. Jump through the Hellgrowth to the northeast to get a soul sphere. (sector 3531)
  6. In the west water area, go to the outer ring after the red bars and head counter-clockwise all the way to a soul sphere. (sector 2869)
  7. At the west water area, head up the rocks and go to the west side. When you can, jump to the southeast and head northeast to find a hole with a rocket launcher. (sector 6168)
  8. In the dark area at the north end of the map, head to the east side and look at the west wall. Use the red light, then head behind this wall and southwest to get a computer area map. (sector 2753)

Bugs[edit]

A medikit (Thing 1969) and health bonuses (1970 through 1975) have no flags set for any of the three difficulty classes, so they do not actually appear in the level.

  • The map is loosely based on an earlier map by the author that was never finished or published. A monster- and itemless copy of the original map can be seen in the lower-left corner of the map using the cheat iddt or by means of an editing utility.
