MAP04: Alcatraz is the fourth map of Hacx. It was designed by John Herndon and uses the music track "".

Walkthrough[edit]

Essentials[edit]

Turn 180 degrees, and you'll see some stairs that lead to the ledge above. Go up these steps.

Once you are on top of these steps, turn right and go in this direction until you see an opening on the rocky wall.

Inside this opening is a very steep set of stairs. Go up this stairway and go through passageway, then the staircase up ahead. You should now be in a prison cell. Exit this cell and look left. You will see a balcony with a staircase in the middle. Go up these steps.

You will see a wall in front of you. Go behind this wall to find a door. Open it, go through, them open the next door.

There is a long tunnel here. Go straight until you see a door. Open this door, go through the short corridor and open the next door you'll find.

You will see you are in another room with prison cells, but with a watchtower in the center and a staircase next to it. Turn right and follow the railing until you see a point where there is a gap in the railing. Jump from this gap and go up the staircase.

Once you are above the steps, go into the watchtower. There is switch here. Press it.

One of the prison cells ahead of you now has been highlighted. Exit the watchtower and go left. Follow the railing here until you are in front of this prison cell. Go inside the cell.

There will be a switch inside, next to the bars. Press it and exit the cell. You'll see that a secret entrance is opening on the other side. Go to this entrance and walk to the end of the hallway.

There will be an elevator surrounded by four green pillars. Stand on the platform and let it go down.

Once you can see an opening to exit the elevator, jump off. There will be a green staircase on your left. Go up these steps and go left. You'll see a locked door on your right side. To open this door, keep going in this direction until you see the green-purple tech wall up ahead go down, revealing a hidden room.

Go inside this room, and on your right is a control panel. Press use and the locked door will open. Go back to the door and enter through. Follow the winding hallway until you come upto a door. Open it by flipping the switch next to it. You'll see an elevator in front of you.

Press use on the elevator for it to come down. Once it is down, get on it quickly and let it rise up again.

Exit the elevator and follow this hallway. Once you are at a door, open it and walk through.

You are now on top the wall surrounding the prison. Follow the wall until you come across a ledge to get down on the ground. Jump off from here.

Once on the ground, turn to your left so that you are facing the white building in the middle. One of corners of the building is an elevator. This corner is the farthest corner from where you're standing. Go up to the corner and press use to bring it down. Get on it and let it rise to the roof of the building.

Without moving from the corner, look to your right. You will see a smaller building. Jump onto the roof of this building. Upon landing, the building will immediately start to descend.

Once it has stopped moving, look to your right, where there will be a small opening visible. Walk into the opening and go through the tunnel inside.

There will be a door at the end of the tunnel. Open it and you'll see there is an office with a big monitor.

Go towards the desk to exit the level.

Secrets[edit]

  1. After the long lift leading down to the big room with the red lift, head to the red lift and use the north switch, then head to the east side with the rising and lowering walls. Past it, get the force field to the north. (sector 310)
