Essentials[edit]

Step on the lift in front of you to go down to a corridor with one or two zombies, then go forward to a UAC door which will open to reveal zombiemen guarding a T-junction. Take the east path and follow the hallway past more zombies to an octagonal room, go to the center (which has a berserk pack on Ultra-Violence (UV) and Nightmare (NM) skill level), then flip the switch on the north wall to open two sets of bars at the north and south ends of the room. Go through either doorway to enter a corridor with three doors, then open the southern door to enter a small office and go to the south-east corner to open a vent hatch. Follow the vent past some lost souls until you enter the northern office, then go to the table behind the dividing wall to pick up the blue keycard.

Press the button next to the office door to unlock it so you can get back out, then return to the T-junction and open the blue door on the west path. Go round the corner and follow the hallway until you reach a chaingun in front of a door; the room behind the door is blocked by crates, but a vent will open behind you along with two closets that contain radiation shielding suits. Take a suit, enter the vent then follow the laser south, east and south (the entire course of the laser is harmful) until your path is blocked by a fence, where you will see a door leading out into a hallway. Look north and kill all the zombies waiting ahead, including a crowd of chaingunners on UV and NM, then go through the small door at the north end and turn right to face (depending on skill level) a demon, Hell knight or baron of Hell blocking your way. Activate the lift between the hazard stripes (a revenant will attack you on UV and NM), then ride the lift up and drop into the room below.

You are now in the room that was blocked by the crates near the chaingun. Flip the switch in the alcove at the north end of the room to open a door behind you, then go through the next room (which holds one or two mancubi on Hurt Me Plenty or higher) and approach the UAC wall at the opposite end - it will open automatically and reveal zombies. Climb up the stairs in this room to reach the upper level, then follow the walkway until you reach a dead end and flip the switch here to go down to a room with a conveyor belt and one or more cacodemons. Head south and east along the conveyor belt until you reach a room with zombies, then climb up the steps - which will open the windows on either side to reveal more zombies - then open the UAC wall at the top of the steps to confront zombiemen/chaingunners. Go through either doorway in the south wall to reach the exit lift, which is guarded by a baron on HMP and an arch-vile on UV and NM, and approach it to finish the level.

Other points of interest[edit]

Secrets[edit]

  1. In the office where the blue key is located, press on the north-east computer terminal (you went over this terminal when going through the vent into this office) and the vent to the south-east will open. The vent leads to the secret office in the middle that is not accessible from the outside, which contains various items including a megaarmor and supercharge. (sector 100)
  2. At the long hallway past the laser corridor, head across one section of the hall and press on the silver wall to the right to find a plasma gun, two energy cell packs and two medikits. (sector 86)
  3. When you reach the small room in the middle of the map, head onto the south lift and ride it up. From there, make a jump to the gray crate to the north. When you make it, look west for a small button that can be shot. Shoot it, then drop down and enter the secret room with the rocket launcher, backpack, medikits and rockets. (sector 443)
  4. On the railway just before the exit, climb up the steps, but sidle along to the east side outside of the railing. Follow this all the way until you get over a crate obstructing the railing. Hop to the other side for a passage with ammo, a berserk pack, a computer area map and a partial invisibility. (sector 402)

Trivia[edit]

  • The vent just behind the blue door is locked on both sides (linedefs 936 and 937) with the red key, but there is no such key in the level. This has no effect on gameplay, as the vent can also be opened by collecting the chaingun just east of it. This may have been done to make the vent easier to open in deathmatch.
