MAP04: E1M4: Egression is the fourth map of The Magenta Spire. It was designed by Cole Bryden (thelamp) and uses the music track "Stomp," originally composed by Jeremy Doyle for Icarus: Alien Vanguard.

Secrets[edit]

  1. After the first rectangular area, in the next hall, enter the section to the east and go northeast. Get rid of the dead pain elemental and climb up this passage to get a box of ammo. (sector 1137)
  2. In the central area, go to the fiery section on the left side and use the left wall. Ride up to get a berserk pack. (sector 721)
  3. In the southwest part of the west side, near the structure's north end, use the east terminal to lower the wall, allowing you to get armor bonuses. (sector 411)
  4. In the same area, head to the northeast side and climb up. Maneuver south to the chaingun and drop west to get a stimpack and a light amplification visor. (sector 670)
  5. After getting the yellow key, return to the central area to find an area to the north is open. Get rid of the dead pain elementals on the east side, then head on the Hellgrowth where they were and go through. You will find a soul sphere. (sector 1153)
  6. In the sleeping quarters, head to the northeast room. The armor bonus in the middle counts as a secret, and it is actually twenty armor bonuses. (sector 847)

Bugs[edit]

A multiplayer-only shotgun guy (Thing 101) has no flags set for any of the three difficulty classes, so it does not actually appear in the level.
