Walkthrough[edit]
Essentials[edit]
Take the shotgun and armor in front of you then follow the path past some imps (along with Hell knights and barons of Hell on Hurt Me Plenty skill level or higher) until you reach a large gate with a super shotgun in front of it. The gate will open after a short delay to reveal an area with a fountain, defended by mancubi at ground level as well as imps and chaingunners on the battlements; head past the fountain and open another gate on the south side to reach the center of the fort, ready for more imps that teleport in. Go west into the yellow key area then south to a sector with a lava pool, kill the knights standing on the stones then run up these stones to reach a hole that goes down to a tunnel that has imps and spectres. Follow each branch of the tunnel to find three skull switches, which will lower the bars blocking the central teleporter, then enter this teleporter to return to the lava pool.
Go to the east side of the fort, which has three cages, to see that a door has opened revealing a staircase; go down the stairs to a room with three switches, then flip the middle switch to lower a lift that goes up to the red keycard (the east and west switches lead to a megaarmor and berserk pack). Open the small stone building in this sector to find a chaingunner protecting a blue skull button, press it then go to the north-west sector to find that you can now climb over the walls to reach the yellow key - up to four revenants will teleport in, which you must fight off while you wait for the key to lower and for a step to rise that will let you out of the walled section. Go back to the lava pool sector and open the yellow key door here, kill a chaingunner then press the button behind it to go down to a tunnel with imps. Enter the teleporter at the end of the tunnel to go to the blocks in the north-east corner of the fort, then run south-west to reach the block with the blue keycard. Watch out for the revenants that are revealed behind the east wall as you do so.
Go to the south sector of the fort, which has a baron standing on a raised teleporter, and open the blue key door here to confront a knight, zombiemen and one or two chaingunners. Activate the lift that the chaingunner stands on to reach a button, press it to lower the teleporter then step on it to go to the grassy area surrounding the previous room. Follow the path past (depending on skill level) knights, a baron and two revenants to reach the exit teleporter.

Secrets[edit]
- To get the chainsaw on the fountain, use the big gate behind it, and shoot the barrels in the north-east corner of the next area. The switch you see in this corner is timed in accordance with the big gate, so lower that gate and quickly flip the switch. A step raises to the fountain and you can get the chainsaw. (sector 101)
- In the blue key yard, use the teleporter to appear on the battlements above the fountain area. In the south-east corner, there is a translucent wall you can walk through containing a backpack, a box of bullets and a box of shotgun shells. (sector 186)
- On the steps leading down to the red key, find the lit gargoyle switch and press it, then head back up the steps to the open room for a rocket launcher, rockets, and lots of health and armor bonuses. (sector 307)
- Open the yellow key door and use the lift to go down. Look at the metal walls behind the candles and open the one that looks different from the rest. You will find a supercharge. (sector 300)
- At the exit courtyard, find the slimy wall on the east side and lower it to get a megaarmor. (sector 299)
