MAP04: The Gardens is the fourth map of Scimitar. It was designed by Richard Hardacre (Cycloid), and the par time defined in the DEHACKED lump is 2:00.

Other points of interest[edit]


  1. The northeast cage in the east courtyard counts as a secret, however it is not possible to enter this cage without cheating. (sector 201)
  2. In the room with the Scimitar, press the wall behind the Scimitar to get a backpack. (sector 224)


A medikit (Thing 85) in the southeast has no flags set for any of the three difficulty classes, so it does not actually appear in the level. It is at the same spot as a stimpack on skills 3-5, so probably was intended to appear on skills 1-2.

Due to Secret #1 being inaccessible without the use of cheat codes, only 50% secrets is possible on this map.
