Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Essentials[edit]

Because the map contains a large amount of enemies, and more are spawned on each visit, it is advisable to keep the number of visits to an absolute minimum.

First visit[edit]

Enter the door directly opposite the travel tube. The door beyond that leads to the airlock, and the red lighting indicates it is contaminated. Go to the south-west corner of the room and activate the console there, the one with the red particle fountains on either side. The particle fountains will change to green and the airlock will be decontaminated. When decontamination is complete, enter.

To the left of the room's main console there is a biohazard suit. Pick it up, and charge it using the booth behind it. Open one of the doors to the inner core using the adjacent consoles, and head round to the north side of the inner core, where a large explosion has taken place. The door leading into the core itself is malfunctioning, and partly opens and closes at random. At this point it is strongly advisable to save the game. Enter the core, press both buttons at the far end of the catwalk to shut it down, then get the hell out of there, as a huge fire and a shockwave will result - make sure you're not trapped inside when this happens, or else you will die and have to reload.

Return to the airlock, decontaminate it using the main console in the room, then return to Engineering.

Second visit[edit]

Activate the console directly to the west of the travel tube, then go to the south-west corner of the map. Enter the travel tube to Environmental Control.

Third visit[edit]

Make your way to the north side of the outer core, open the door on the north side, and in the room beyond, activate the travel tube, which leads to The Bridge.

Other points of interest[edit]

There is a travel tube to Sleeping Quarters in the south-east corner of the map. To power it up, press the console to the east of the Engineering travel tube.
