MAP05: H2O (Strife: Absolute Order)

MAP05: H2O is the fourth map of Strife: Absolute Order. It was designed by Adam Woodmansey (Khorus) and uses his own custom music track, referred to internally as 10 2.

Walkthrough[edit]

Essentials[edit]

Go around the corner to a pillar, then turn left and climb the stairs - look up at the ledge in front of you to see the gold ID card, which is your first objective here. Kill the acolytes here silently if possible (using the punch dagger or poison bolts) then take the flamethrower on the raised tile which will set off the alarm. Head north into the tunnel and destroy the crusader waiting around the corner, then go past it to an outdoor area. Collect all the supplies in this area then go north-west down a set of steps leading to a tall room. Climb the stairs and use the lift ahead to get on to the ledge above you, then head east to find a button you need to press.

Drop off the ledge and climb up the steps, noting that a door has opened to your left revealing a crusader and/or a templar guarding more supplies including a surgery kit. From here, go south-west down a set of light-red steps and follow the path to another lift. Ride this lift up and go up the steps ahead to get to the ID card. (NOTE: Once you climb the steps, the level entrance will be permanently sealed and you will not be able to return to MAP02: Sweetwater. If you want to buy supplies from there first, go back the way you came to return to the level entrance - anything you did in this level will be saved when you come back.)

With the ID card, drop off the ledge and go down the steps ahead. Turn left and climb the staircase, kill the acolytes guarding the door ahead and open it with the ID card. Climb the staircase ahead and turn left into a passage that ends with a narrow walkway. Cross the walkway and flip the switch at the end, then go outside to find an inquisitor waiting ahead. Use all the items at your disposal to destroy it, which will lower the bars around the exit teleporter. Head south across two stone platforms and take the stamina implant on the way. Once you are across the platforms you will be on the ledge that the inquisitor started from; step into the teleporter here to finish the level.

Other points of interest[edit]

After climbing the second lift leading to the ID card, head north to find a square platform with four wooden columns, where you will also find an accuracy upgrade, a medical kit and two bullet clips. Taking these items releases a templar from a nearby alcove on Veteran skill level or higher.

Secrets[edit]

  1. In the room in the north-western corner of the level, take the lift to the upper floor then look west at a wall with an inquisitor picture on it. If you jump from this ledge into the inquisitor wall you will find it is fake, with an accuracy upgrade behind it. (sector 141)
  2. After killing the first crusader and entering the first outdoor area, turn right to see a water pool with a cross-shaped structure. Go around this structure to find an ammo satchel in its north-east corner. (sector 650) You must collect the satchel to register the secret.
