MAP05: Subterfuge 1024 is the fifth map of Claustrophobia 1024. It was designed by Brett Harrell (Mechadon), and uses the music track "Trilemma" by James Paddock (Jimmy).

Walkthrough[edit]

Essentials[edit]

You start in a confined space with two zombiemen, plus an imp on Hurt Me Plenty skill level or a demon on Ultra-Violence (UV) and Nightmare (NM). Push through them to get a shotgun, open the west door and go up some steps to a dark pool with more imps and zombies, then walk north down some more steps to find the yellow keycard - as you take it, watch out for a (depending on skill level) demon, spectre or chaingunner that teleports behind you. Go back to the starting room and pass through the east door, then go down the stairs and turn right to see zombies and imps guarding a yellow key button that will open the door at the bottom of the stairs. Go through the door and kill the monsters to your left, then follow the ledge west to find two buttons that require keys. Press the left-hand button then follow the ledge east and north to an open door, which you can go through to find the blue keycard.

From the blue key, kill the chaingunner that teleports behind you then go back to the two buttons and press the right-hand button to lower the bars behind you and allow you to reach a bridge. Take the chainsaw then cross the bridge and head down the west staircase to a pit containing zombiemen, imps and demons, then press the button by the east wall - it is one of two buttons needed to get the red key, but will allow zombies and demons (along with a Hell knight on UV and NM) to teleport in. Go back up to the bridge and drop into the east pit, which contains more zombies and demons, then look for a keycard-shaped panel in the north-west corner - inserting the blue key will open the nearby bars, then release demons and shotgun guys into the area. Step through the waterfall behind the bars to find a button and press it to open a lift that goes back up to the bridge, then return to the starting point to collect the red keycard.

With the red key, go to the small door at the north end of the bridge and try to open it - it will not open fully as something is blocking it, and you will be ambushed by a revenant (or baron of Hell on UV and NM). Go back to where you found the yellow key to find that a button has been revealed between the windows and press it; after doing so, you can go back to the door to fully open it and reveal the exit switch.

  1. From the bridge, run off the west side to land on the gray ledge opposite. There is a tiny blinking arrow on the floor, and if you walk north-west from this arrow you should find an armor. (sector 527)
