MAP05: Warehouse Warfare is the fifth map of Nerves of Steel. It was designed by Mike MacDee (Impie) and uses the music track "Warehouse" from Duke Nukem: Total Meltdown.

Walkthrough[edit]
Essentials[edit]
Kill the dogs and their master in the drop point room. You can take the left or right door.
Through the right door is an outdoor loading area with several guards, dogs, Cyborg Enforcers, and flying Zero Guards. Be sure to kill the men in the watchtower so they can't snipe you. Cross the field to the reception area, then the connecting warehouse: many guards are walking atop the crates in here, so be sure to take them out before the ground troops reach you. Through this room is a second warehouse. Clear all the enemies hiding in here before grabbing the red keycard: doing so triggers a second wave of enemies which attack from behind the crates, and the door cannot be opened manually from this side. Hit the switch opposite the door and run back to the drop point, wasting any ambush critters that get in your way.
Now take the left door and destroy every turret lining the long, narrow office beyond. At the far end, by the red door, is a squad of Cyborg Enforcers. Through the door and up the stairs is the final ambush, including a chaingunner. When the chaingunner is dead, the way to the exit teleporter opens.
Other points of interest[edit]
The Zero Guards won't attack you as long as you don't grab the AA-12 auto-shotgun in the loading area outside.
Secrets[edit]
- When you reach the red door, go back to the drop point: one of the crates has lowered, revealing a wall switch. Press it for a seeker missile launcher. (sector 72)
- One of the soda machines opens the door between the long hall and the reception area. Immediately run through it to lower the reception area's soda dispenser, and flip the switch it reveals. Immediately run back to the long hall, where one of the wall lockers has opened to reveal a soul sphere. This is a timed secret, and you only get one shot at it. (sector 109)
- In the first warehouse, look for a stack of large "Raven" crates with an unlabeled crate at the bottom. Examine the bottom crate to reveal a switch, which lowers a disguised lift nearby. Race to the lift and ride it to the tops of the crates, where many items and powerups await. (sector 82)
