MAP05: Waste Processing is the fifth map of Into Sandy's Cities. It was designed by GermanPeter.

Walkthrough[edit]
Essentials[edit]
Open the door in front of you, grab the super shotgun, kill the heavy weapon dude, and grab the armor. The other doors here each contain an ammo pickup, except one, which has a medikit. Go down the way the heavy weapon dude was, to find some shotgun guys, and some imps across the way. There are also some zombiemen to your right. Kill them, then snipe the imps. Drop to the lower floor, grab the chaingun and box of shotgun shells, and the health bonus. Go through the big door to find a hallway with an imp. The nukage in this area raises and lowers continuously, so make your way through, killing another imp and a shotgun guy, watching out for the crushers. Open the door to the right under the second crusher to find some zombiemen and a switch. Pulling the switch lowers the yellow skull key so you can reach it.
Exit the room and open the yellow door, go to the right, and drop into the nukage. Run to the right, fighting off a demon, and enter a room with some imps and a cacodemon. Kill them all. There are two teleporters in this room, one that is at the far wall, and one that is lowered by a switch on the pillar near where you entered. The one to the left takes you to a soulsphere, and the other one takes you back to the starting area. The left direction has a couple of health and armor bonuses, as well as a switch that lowers another teleporter back to the start and a megaarmor. Open the yellow door here to continue.
There are a number of imps and the blue key up on a ledge you cannot reach yet, so kill the imps and continue through the door at the far end. This small maze-like area has many zombiemen, a couple shotgun guys, and a demon. Kill them all, and then pull the switch at the far end. Go back to the blue key room, and go up the now-raised stairs. As you walk toward the key, a wall opens, releasing several spectres. Kill them, and then take the four shotgun shells, box of bullets, and box of rockets where they came from, and then, of course, the blue key.
Go back toward the yellow key area, to find the blue door. Open it, but watch out for the shotgun guy directly behind it. This next hallway is infested with imps, and a heavy weapon dude at the end. Open the next blue door. There is a rocket launcher at the center of this room, surrounded by nukage, and a Hell knight and some rockets at the far end. Kill the knight, and run across the island with the rocket launcher, and pull the switch. This raises the nukage, but also releases a horde of imps from the walls. In the alcoves the imps came from, there are some armor bonuses, and stimpacks.
Exit the room, and go straight to find that the large central area with nukage has been raised, and you can grab the red skull key, but watch out for the demons that were released. Open the red door, and pull the switch to your left, but watch out for the cacodemons that are released when you try to cross the bridge. Kill them all, grab the loot from their alcoves, then exit the level.

Secrets[edit]
- Enter the southwest nukage and head west. In this room, find a switch on the first column and use it, then run southeast and take the teleporter to get a soul sphere. (sector 3)
- Enter the southwest nukage and head east. Press the switch to lower the pillars, with one of them containing a megaarmor. (sector 86)
- Use the computer in the yellow key room, then head to the outside hall and to the west side. Wait for the nukage to lower and head west into a teleporter that takes you to a backpack and a radiation suit. (sector 82)
- In the southeast room, go to the northwest corner and open the west wall to get a box of ammo and a berserk pack. (sector 33)
- Open the compartments in the east room and head to the south compartment. Open a wall there to get boxes of rockets. (sector 50)
- In the exit area, enter the nukage path to the east. At the end, open the southwest wall to get an invulnerability. (sector 74)
