Walkthrough[edit]

Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Essentials[edit]

The green nukage is harmless, but not the brown one.

Other points of interest[edit]

Secrets[edit]

  1. After going down the lift near the starting area, enter the crate room southwest of the lift and investigate the crates in the northwest corner to find a small switch that opens the crate south of your position, with an energy cell pack inside of it. (sector 246)
  2. In the L-shaped blue corridor, east of secret #1, strafe-run down the corridor straight into the southernmost window (make sure to run a blue part of the floor). You should land on the ledge of the window and into the secret room (alternatively, you can perform an arch-vile jump through the window). (sector 172) Press the switch to lower a lift with 34 health bonuses on it to get out.
  3. When you grab the blue key, go southwest to the nearby monster closet. Press the southeast wall (it looks slightly different) and go down to reach a pillar with a soulsphere that you can lower (or rather raise the platform you stand on it by pressing the pillar). (sector 35)
  4. In the same room as secret #3, before pressing the pillar, press the south wall to lower the floor to a megaarmor. (sector 521)
  5. In the southeast part of the map, once you reach the long, more natural-looking corridor with health bonuses on its way and revenants on your right (to the east), don't go through it. Instead, inspect a dark nook to the east by the entrance. The black wall at the nook's end can be pressed to reveal a corridor (sector 700) with a computer area map and a partial invisibility at its end (watch out for chaingunners and imps after grabbing these).
  6. Behind the blue door are grates floating on the brown slime. In this area, go northwest and inspect the central pillar. There is a switch hidden on its northwest side. Press it to open the wall in front of it, revealing a secret cave (sector 673). There is a cage further northwest, on the other end of a nukage pool, with energy cell packs, rockets, and a backpack inside. Press the nearby switch to temporarily open the cage, and use the nearby south ledge to reach the cage (the slime slows you down).
  7. Once you grab the red key, instead of turning back or falling down, jump to the visible northwest hole behind the slimefall. Quickly reach the teleporter at its end (the nukage in this hallway is a damaging floor). You will be taken to a dark room with a backpack, a BFG9000, and cells, all guarded by barons and Hell knights. (sector 694)

Bugs[edit]

There is a missing texture appearing as a flat bleed (linedef 491) when the southeast building lift is lowered and viewed from the outside through the raised entrance.
