MAP06: Excavation is the sixth map of Beyond Revival. It was designed by Fiend.

Walkthrough

Map of Excavation

Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Secrets

1. When you get to the bridge over lava at the southwest end, open the wall at the east end of the bridge to find an energy cell and a backpack. (sector 1097)
2. Head onto the bridge over lava and go all the way to the western part of the area. Drop into the lava to the north and press on the north wall to lower it. You will find a cave with a box of shotgun shells, health bonuses, and a medikit. (sector 1222)
3. In the marble room at the southwesternmost part of the map, head behind the altar where the arch-vile is and press the switch you see on the altar. This will open a wall at the north part of the area which holds an armor. (sector 1038)
4. Press the switch at the top of the pyramid, but before entering the teleporter, get back to the ground floor and head behind the pyramid to find a lowered megasphere (and a box of shotgun shells on Hey, Not Too Rough or lower). (sector 1254)
5. Pick up the yellow key, then leave to the west to find demons and cacodemons. Press on the recessed wall at the south part of the monster closet to find a partial invisibility. (sector 1507)
