MAP06: Outpost Omega is the sixth map of Doom 64 for Doom II. It was designed by Daniel Trim (dt_) and uses the music track "Fear" by José Navarrete (CoTeCiO).

Walkthrough[edit]
Essentials[edit]
Kill any zombiemen ahead, along with the zombiemen and shotgun guys in the rooms on either side, then go into the right-hand room and flip the switch on the south wall to open the northernmost door. Go through the door to enter a square room with four cages, kill the zombies (or revenants on Ultra-Violence and Nightmare skill levels) that appear in those cages then take the rocket launcher in the center before continuing west through another door. Kill the imps and shotgun guys (and one or two cacodemons on Hurt Me Plenty (HMP) or higher) in the next room, then flip the switch at the north end of the room to lower the metal lift. Step past the lift, which will rise after you pass it, and kill the imps/cacodemon/pain elemental that are revealed ahead then flip the switch behind them to lower two walls behind you that conceal chaingunners. Climb the steps to the south to another switch and flip it to lower the neighboring wall, then follow the corridor to a lever and pull it to lower the floor, revealing a demon guarding the blue keycard.
Taking the blue key will release another demon behind you, along with imps and more demons in the room ahead. Flip the switch just behind the blue key to lower the windows on either side, along with a super shotgun and megaarmor, then flip the switch at the north end of the room again to lower the metal lift. Step past the lift and climb the steps to the north this time, then flip another switch at the top of the steps to open it and reveal a lever that will lower the neighboring wall. The next room spans several floors – go north and west to drop down to the bottom level and land in a nukage trench, then look north to see imps (plus a Hell knight on HMP or higher) guarding a switch. Flip the switch to open a set of bars nearby then enter either teleporter behind you to go back to the top floor, drop down one level then run north over a platform with a brown step to reach the switch behind the bars before they close. After flipping this switch, press the bars to open them again and look south-west to see a recessed button that you can shoot, then look south to shoot a second button that will open the red tower containing the red keycard.
Drop down to the nukage again and go to the switch that opened the bars, then enter the red teleporter next to it to go to a platform with two imps. Run west to land on a ledge below and flip the switch here to open a door on the east side of the room, and open a teleporter leading back to the room entrance. Back at the room entrance, step north to drop to the door you just opened and use the lift behind it to up to another switch that will lower the red key. Drop down to the floor below and enter the red tower to get the key, then press the skull switch behind it to open a wall behind you and reveal two revenants along with a teleporter leading back to the cage room, where four mancubi have appeared. Flip the switch to open the door leading back to the starting room, then enter the western room and press the button here to reveal a lever that will open the door behind the starting point. Go through the door to the exit room and press the buttons in the south-east and south-west corners to raise a bridge over the lava, then press the button on the other side of the bridge to reveal revenants and/or arch-viles guarding the exit button.

Secrets[edit]
- At the start, enter the left-hand room and use the recessed wall that is different from the rest. Quickly leave and enter the right-hand room, then go north-east to get a chaingun before it closes. (sector 140)
- When you reach the maze area at the north-west end, gently drop off to the west, then look for a switch on the south-east wall. Flip it, then jump to the nukage on the west side and quickly head south to a supercharge. (sector 143)
- Getting secret #2 makes a lift lower. Quickly leave secret #2 and head west to a lift, then ride it up and go to where the energy cell pack and switch are for this secret. (sector 89)
- The switch in secret #3 lowers a plasma gun at the north-east end of the maze. Once you flip it, you need to get to the switch at the north-east end nearby (if you do not know how to get there, go to the nukage and take the red teleporter at the north end, then jump across to the south-west, flip the switch, enter the teleporter, drop down to the north, and take the lift up). Now make an angled jump north-west and you should get the plasma gun. (sector 286)
- Press the switch across the bridge at the southernmost end that reveals the exit switch, then go back across the bridge and go left. There will be a new opening to the left with a box of rockets and a supercharge. (sector 138)
