Walkthrough[edit]
Essentials[edit]
Run straight forward (east) to collect the radiation shielding suit in the nukage pool then go up the steps in front of you to enter a teleporter, which will put you on the ledge above the starting point. Go east past some shotgun guys to find a chaingun next to a yellow door, kill the chaingunners that appear ahead then enter the white teleporter ahead to go down to the white rocks below. Follow the path round to the wooden steps on the other side of the valley, passing some imps and shotgun guys on the way, then go up the steps and head west past a red door to find the yellow skull key, which is in front of a blue door. Taking the key causes an arch-vile to teleport near the yellow door.
Drop into the nukage and run to the teleporter at the top of the steps again, then go to the yellow door and pass through it to reach a wooden platform overlooked by mancubi. Climb up the metal steps next to the platform and press the button at the top to lower a wall at the bottom, revealing some revenants, then step through the wall and press another button at the north end of the room to open a teleporter behind you. Enter the teleporter to go to the north end of the map, kill some waiting imps then press the button on the east wall to lower another teleporter behind you. Use this teleporter to cross the nukage and kill any waiting shotgun guys, then press another button on the south wall to lower a wall to your left and reveal the red skull key.
Go back to the central area and open the red door you passed earlier, which leads to the top of a long staircase, then go south through a wooden doorway to get a super shotgun and a radiation suit which are guarded by some teleporting revenants. Drop into the nukage below the radiation suit and go south then west to a stone step, kill some chaingunners that teleport in then enter the evil eye teleporter to go to a platform with a blue button, which will lower a wall at the bottom of the long staircase and summon a cyberdemon. Go down that staircase and enter the chamber behind the cyberdemon to find another button, which will lower a lift to your right, then ride the lift up and turn left to see another button which will lower the nearby bars. Flip the switch behind the bars to lower the platform holding the blue skull key in the center of the pit.
From the blue key, run to the teleporter on the east side of the pit to teleport to a ledge with boxes of rockets, then step off the ledge to teleport back to where you got the super shotgun. Kill two arch-viles that have appeared then go back to the blue door you saw earlier and open it to face another arch-vile. Go north-west to a small courtyard with two mancubi then press the button at the west end to lower it, revealing a hallway with eight revenants and a teleporter. Enter the teleporter to go to the western section of the map, press the button in front of you then step forward to drop into an arena where two cyberdemons will appear. Fight off the cyberdemons until the wall at the top of the marble staircase lowers, revealing an arch-vile along with revenants and imps, then pull the skull lever behind this wall to end the level.

Secrets[edit]
- At the start, approach the steps, then use the skull switch on the south-east side of those steps. Run north to the teleporter in the north-east corner and take it to get a supercharge. (sector 361)
- Open the yellow door and fall into the nukage to the east. Head north all the way, then west to a platform with a berserk pack, a radiation suit, health bonuses, and a backpack. (sector 363)
- In the nukage at the south-east end, make your way to the easternmost part and shoot the north wall to get an invulnerability. (sector 441)
- After using the button north-east of the blue key, return to the teleporter that brought you to that area and enter the teleporter south of it, which takes you to a megasphere. (sector 451)

Routes and tricks[edit]
At the end of the level, you must wait for a gargoyle wall to lower and reveal the exit switch behind it. There is another exit switch hidden under the west side of this wall (linedef 3229) that can be flipped from above to end the level slightly earlier.
