MAP06: The Panopticon is the sixth map of Into Sandy's Cities. It was designed by GermanPeter.

Walkthrough[edit]
Essentials[edit]
There is a shotgun guy behind the right pillar in this room, and another one in an alcove to the right, which contains a switch you need to pull to open the exit from this room. To the right in the next hallway, there is a revenant on Hurt Me Plenty (HMP) skill level or higher, and a group of shotgun guys to the left. Go left, and then watch out for the imps at the end of the hall. Go around the large platform to get some armor bonuses, and enter the next large room.
There is a group of Hell knights at the far end, imps in niches that you cannot reach all around the room, and several platforms in the center structure you can lower as lifts, to take them up to cages with imps. The Hell knights are very difficult on a pistol start, even with the shotgun in the starting room, so lure them to the center teleporter, which teleports you to a crusher.
Try to take care of the imps by lowering the platforms then sniping them, otherwise their scratch attacks will tear you to shreds in the close quarters. At the top of each lift is a stimpack or box of bullets and a switch. Pull all (except the one that requires the blue key), and then take the lift at the back of the room up. Follow the newly-opened hallway (with some shotgun guys) to a crossroads. A monster closet opens up with a revenant, a chaingun, some armor bonuses, and some other enemies, kill them, then go right. There are some imps and a heavy weapon dude here, along with a radiation shielding suit that will be helpful for the next part.
The area across the hallway has a lot of nukage, and at the end is a room with demons and imps, and a river of nukage. Drop in to find a lost soul and a switch, pull it to raise the nukage, then grab the blue key. The middle area in the previous room has opened up to reveal a heavy weapon dude and some shotgun guys, so go back to the large main room. Pull the switch in the center structure that requires the blue key, then go past the blue key bars, and open the door there. Kill the shotgun guys, then go to the far end and grab the yellow key.
This opens an alcove with a spectre and a super shotgun, and releases some enemies at the far end, and activates some crushers. Exit the room, go up the lift in the main room, then open the yellow door. Go down this hallway, killing various enemies, culminating with some revenants. Pull the switch partway down, run to the next one, pull that one, then take the lift down to the final encounter. Kill some cacodemons, imps, and Hell knights, then jump the gap, open the final door, and exit the level.

Secrets[edit]
- Go behind the left column at the start to find a switch, which lowers the right column containing a soul sphere. (sector 68)
- In the hub, take the southeast lift up, then face southwest and jump through the wall with black squares to obtain rockets and a rocket launcher. (sector 30)
- In the circular area at the east end, open the southeast wall with holes to find a teleporter. (sector 112)
- In the room with the H-shaped crusher, after lowering the yellow key, get into the northeast alcove and follow the path to a megasphere. (sector 110)
- Enter the nukage in the northwest area and flip the switch in the middle. Head south to get a megaarmor, backpack, and box of rockets. (sector 134)
