MAP07: Dead Simple is the seventh map of Doom II X-Treme. It was designed by Byron Collins, uses the music track "Lord of L.A." by Robert Prince, from Duke Nukem 3D, and was originally released as Ship.

Secrets[edit]

  1. Head north from the starting rooms and open the northwest wall. Head south and open the door. to find EM-Railgun ammo cases. Use the switch and take the lift down to find an electro-magnetic railgun, a box of shotgun shells, stimpacks, and an energy cell pack. (sector 74)
  2. In the room with the dual sawed-off shotgun, open the southeast wall to find a box of shotgun shells and a soul sphere. (sector 87)
  3. Open the northeast wall in Secret #2 to find an energy cell pack and EM-Railgun ammo. (sector 280)
  4. Ride the platform with the yellow key up, then open the north wall and follow the passage all the way for an alternate route to Secret #1. (sector 231)
  5. In the northeast room, use the switch to open the lift to the west, then ride it up. Open the metal wall to the south to find energy cell packs and medikits. (sector 34)
  6. In the blue key room, open the misaligned wall to the south fo find steps that form. One of the rooms at the south end has energy cells, medikits, EM-Railgun ammo cases, and a backpack. (sector 256)
  7. Open the red door in the central hall and open the east wall to find armor bonuses, health bonuses, stimpacks, energy cells, and partial invisibility. (sector 211)
  8. Shoot all the barrels in the southwest room, then open the easternmost wall to find an X-Treme Armor and health bonuses. (sector 213)

Bugs[edit]

A multiplayer-only partial invisibility (Thing 349) has no flags set for any of the three difficulty classes, so it does not actually appear in the level.
