MAP07: MAP27 - Experimentation Lab is the seventh map of Switcheroom 2. It was designed by Fernito and uses the music track "Ashtray" by Chris Leeson (Psyrus).

Walkthrough[edit]

Essentials[edit]

Kill the zombiemen in front of you then head east to a door, then open it to enter a computer room. Go to the door in the south-east corner and walk through it, then collect the super shotgun to your right; this will close the door and lower the nearby wall to reveal spectres (plus a revenant on Ultra-Violence and Nightmare skill levels) along with the yellow keycard. Take the key, then go to the switch at the west end and flip it to lower a wall behind you, revealing a second switch that will open the door so you can leave. Exit the computer room and go north-east to another door, go through it and deal with the imps that are released to your left and right before continuing west to another door.

Go through the door to enter the northern yard, kill one or two waiting arachnotrons then press the button on the west wall to lower the floor beneath you, revealing imps (and demons on Hurt Me Plenty (HMP) or higher) guarding another door. Go through that door, then open the yellow door to the north to find a nukage pool, where lost souls (and cacodemons on HMP or higher) guard a pillar holding the blue keycard. Climb up to the eastern ledge and flip the switch here to lower the blue key, kill the monsters that are released on the opposite side of the room then drop into the nukage to collect the key. Taking it opens the north wall to reveal (depending on skill level) chaingunners, a pain elemental or an arch-vile, along with another switch that will reopen the entrance door.

Leave the blue key room and flip the switch on the west wall to raise some steps, climb them then go through the door at the top to return to the yard, noting the imps that are released behind you. Go east to a room with four pipe blocks, open the blue door in the north wall and press the button behind to lower one of the pipe blocks, which you can ride up to the red keycard. After taking the key, step back to avoid the imps that are released around you then enter any of the monster closets to lower the floor and get back to the room below. Open the brightly lit door to the north-west, then head to the north wall of the next room to lower the floor into another nukage pit. Take a radiation shielding suit here, then head west to a red door and open it to find the exit switch.

Secrets[edit]

  1. In the starting room, head east to a column. Flip the switch on its east side to open the wall behind you which has boxes of rockets. (sector 150)
  2. In the second big room, go to the plus-shaped wall to the west and use the switch on its west side. Quickly run to the north lift and touch it, then quickly run back to the plus-shaped wall. South-west of it is a plasma gun, an energy cell pack, a backpack and a stimpack. (sector 85)
  3. Enter the teleporter in the north-west room to teleport to the south-west room. (sector 210)
  4. In the north-east area, jump into the nukage and use the wall with yellow lights on the west side to reveal a switch. Before flipping it, flip the switch to the south to lower the nearby lift. Wait a second, then flip the switch you revealed and quickly get on the lift. Ride it up and run to the west hole, then north to get health and armor bonuses. Take the teleporter to get a BFG9000. (sector 12)
