MAP07: The Hell Base is the seventh map of Community Chest 64. It was designed by Cody Richeson (Koko Ricky). This level takes place in an ornate demonic citadel.

Walkthrough[edit]
Essentials[edit]
You start in a large outside area composed of many pits and walkways. Move right, and jump in the rightmost pit in the back to find a shotgun. Press the switch to raise the pit: every pit can be jumped in and raised this way. Do this for every pit and gather the ammunition found in each of them. Some of the pits will have monsters in them. Make sure you also check every alcove in the outside wall of this area to find many clips and shotgun shells. When you are done, press the switch at the top of the stairs in the central alcove, which will open the door of the temple on the opposite side of this area.
Enter the temple and kill all the monsters in the entrance hall, then enter the narrow corridor to the right. Kill the zombieman and the lost soul, then press the monitor on the wall. This will open up the large pillars in the entrance hall. Go back, kill the monsters that are revealed, and jump from the ledge over to the monitor pillars, then across the two circular pillars to a ledge. Head right to find a switch and press it, then head left and go through the door and kill the monsters inside the room. Pick up the plasma gun on the pedestal to the right. Go up the steps, and press the central monitor, which will reveal a switch behind the red door you need to press later. Return, and jump down into the entrance hall.
Go back into the narrow corridor, where a new room will have opened up. Enter the right passage and pick up the chaingun: as soon as you enter, the door will shut behind you, and you will be trapped. When you go to grab the red skull key, an imp will spawn to prevent you from doing so. A nightmare imp will spawn behind you when you actually go to pick up the key. Return into the left passage and press the switch on the wall to escape this area. Return to the entrance hall, and go through the red door at the top of the steps. Press the switch to reveal a teleporter and enter it.
You will warp to an isolated part of the map, into a hallway containing imps and an arachnotron. Enter the hallway and go up the steps to your left. Jump down onto a long walkway, and follow it until you come across a set of pillars. Hop across the pillars to reach another walkway. Run past the barons of Hell, and go up the staircase to your right. Press the switch at the top of the steps to lower the Unmaker you passed by, and go pick it up. Return to the walkway and continue moving forward until you come across a switch. Shoot it to lower the barriers to the staircases.
Go down the staircase, and follow the stream of blood. Kill the monsters in the area it leads to, then look for alcoves in the wall holding lost souls: they are marked by a glowing electrical symbol on the floor. Kill all the lost souls in these alcoves to open three structures holding switches. The switches in each structure require the red, yellow, and blue keys, respectively. First head right past the structures, and check the bookcases to find an imp and a super shotgun. Now head left, and at the end of the path among the bookcases, you can find the yellow skull key. Pick it up, and groups of monsters will spawn on the walkway above.
Return to the entrance of this area, and go back up either of the staircases. When you get to the section where you must jump across the pillars, jump down instead and kill the monsters below. Pick up the backpack and the rocket launcher. When you pick up the health bonus in the blood pool, a cyberdemon will spawn nearby. Kill it and enter the teleporter that is revealed to return to the previous area, where you will telefrag a mancubus. Enter the teleporter again to return. Go down the hallway and up the staircase to the left to get back on the walkway.
After going forward for a bit, you will see a pale stone pillar to your right, at a point where the stone barrier is low enough to step on. Walk onto the barrier: if you shoot the demonic stone panel on the wall behind you, the pale stone pillar will briefly lower. You must first shoot the panel to lower the pillar, jump down on top of it, and then run forward as the pillar rises up to jump into the room ahead. In this room you can find a megaarmor as well as the blue skull key. When you grab the key, a nightmare Hell knight will spawn. Pick up the BFG9000 (which will count as a secret) to lower the bars nearby, allowing you to leave.
Follow the stream of blood and continue forward to find the three structures holding the key switches. Press each one, then go back, and head up the staircase to your left. Continue along the walkway until you find the multi-colored staircase that is guarded by three barons of Hell. Kill them, go up the staircase, and kill the monsters in the hall. Jump down into the pit to exit the level.

Secrets[edit]
- Enter the main building and in the central room, you will find a four-sided computer with one panel glowing cyan. Press it, then go into the small corridor on the left, where a small room will have opened containing a berserk powerup. (sector 222)
- Back to the central room, go up the stairs and check behind the second yellow pillar that you see to find a switch. Press it to unlock part of a room to the left, containing a security camera and a computer panel that spawns a megasphere in the room with the two blue torches visible immediately before the stairs. (sector 206)
- Use the panel opposite to the berserk secret to activate four doors in the central room, then climb to them and go up to where the megasphere you spawned earlier is located. (thing 52)
- Once you enter the red door and the teleporter that takes you to the library, pick up the health bonus in the central fountain. This will cause two platforms on both sides to lower. Step on the left one to pick up ten health bonuses and a medikit. (sector 1410)
- Now move on to the right side to pick up the same amount of items. (sector 1411)
- In the northeastern section of the library, go into the pools of blood and pick up the health bonus in the centre, which spawns a supercharge further down. (thing 100)
- In the northwestern section, you can see some stairs leading to one of the windows, which is a fake wall that can be traversed leading to thirteen armor bonuses and an invulnerability powerup, which will cause three barons of Hell to spawn in when picked up. (sector 1408)
- Between the two secrets listed above, a red building with a megasphere can be seen, which can be easily reached from the upper walkway. (thing 786)
- Near the beginning section of the library, take the stairs to the left to make your way to the upper walkway and you will soon see a glowing window. Shoot at it, which will cause a platform in front of it to lower. Use the platform to reach the corridor above, and once you enter the room it leads to, go to the left to find a BFG9000. (thing 664)
