MAP08: Argobak Rumble is the eighth map of The Mapwich 2: The Mapwichening. It was designed by Margsabl and Ryan Anderson (obake), and uses the music track "Flood Gates" from the Harmony MIDI Pack, composed by James Paddock (Jimmy). The par time defined in ZMAPINFO is 5:00.

Secrets[edit]

  1. At the start, head west and jump up the north rock formation to find shotgun shells, a stimpack, and forty-two armor bonuses guarded by a mancubus. (sector 493)
  2. After you pass the first bridge in the deep canyon, take the east path leading down and shoot at the eye you see on the south wall along the way to open a big cave to the east, containing a green armor. (sector 785)
  3. Head west in the northeast hall and go through the southwest waterfall to get armor bonuses and a berserk pack. (sector 39)
  4. In the round room at the north end, open the red door and enter the teleporter. In this room, head to the east wall and press the switch, then go to the west wall to find stimpacks, a medikit, and a backpack. (sector 159)

Bugs[edit]

A map spot (thing 856) and three teleport destinations (things 851, 852 and 855) are not flagged on skill levels lower than 4, but an arch-vile and a diabolist are present on lower skill levels in sector 1435. Normally, the map spot allows monsters present in this sector to be alerted when you take the red key, then they teleport to the three closets around the key. On lower skills, the two monsters are never alerted, and even if you manage to wake them up, it is impossible for them to teleport.
