MAP08: Frostbite is the eighth map of Scientist 2. It was designed by Roland van der Velden and uses a MIDI rendition of the Dream Theater song "Don't Look Past Me" as its music track.

Secrets[edit]

  1. When you leave the starting area via the steps from the switch, quickly run northeast of it and north towards a berserk pack before it rises back. (sector 7)
  2. At the northeastern snowfield, get to the higher ledge on the outer wall and go to the northern side. Lower the wall to find another berserk pack and an amount of fuel. (sector 313)
  3. After getting the blue key, take the circular lift in the center of the map down and flip the switch to raise the blue bars. A bit into the hall when it goes dark you will notice a soul sphere through the northern window. Shoot at it to open a closet with demons behind you. A wall just to the east of this closet looks different than the rest. Pressing it lowers another wall inside that closet, which will teleport you to the soul sphere. (sector 70)
  4. In the room with a crossbow (west of secret #3), take the steps up and go to the northeastern corner, which has a spectre and a stimpack. Go through the northern wall to find a cage with chaingunners and medikits. (sector 115)
