MAP08: Mineshaft Mayhem is the eighth map of Clippyworld: An Unexpected Journey. It was designed by Clippy Clippington and uses the music track "Run Like Smeg" by Lee Jackson, from Rise of the Triad. The par time defined in MAPINFO is 4:20.

Secrets[edit]

  1. In the main room, you can flip a switch behind a cage at the south end. This opens up doors in the southeast corner. Before flipping that switch, head to that area and open the north wall when you enter the corridor to find another switch. After uncovering it, return to the previous switch, flip it, then run east and use the button on the north wall. Quickly run to the southeast and down the lift. In this area, head around and use the right switch to lower the soul sphere. (sector 88)
  2. In the main room, opening the blue bars in the southeast corner will allow you to access the alcove there. Lower the skull wall to get a backpack. (sector 108)
  3. Unlocking the yellow key will also unlock the cage that has a cacodemon and a super shotgun in it. You can enter it from the south side, near the red rectangle on the ground. (sector 97)
  4. In the main room, opening the yellow bars at the middle of the south end will allow you to access the switch. Doing this also lowers an alcove to the northwest, which has rockets and a rocket launcher. (sector 105)
  5. In the lava cave at the northeast side, shoot the two barrels near the entrance and use the button there, then backtrack and get the radiation suit to the right. (sector 157)
  6. After using the switch behind the plasma gun, return to the area south of the main room and step on the red rectangle (mentioned in Secret #2). Quickly run to the south side to get a berserk pack from a lowering wall. (sector 296)
  7. Lower the wall east of the red key to find rockets. If you lower the north wall, you can find stimpacks, a box of rockets, and cacodemons. (sector 152)
  8. In the main room, opening the red bars at the southwest end and entering the alcove with the switch will lower an alcove to the northeast, containing energy cells. (sector 148)
  9. In the room at the north end with the green armor, flip the two switches and return to the starting point. Head north to get ammo, a medikit, and stimpacks. (sector 273)
  10. Outside the building, go to the southwest side and open two doors. Flip the switch to the north, then use the button north of there. Quickly run back outside and to the southwest lift to ride up to the perimeter, where you can get a soul sphere, a megaarmor, and ammo. (sector 175)
  11. On the perimeter in Secret #9, head to the north end and head east to a recessed wall. Use it to lower the next perimeter, then quickly run east, drop, and flip the switch to the west to lower the outermost perimeter. Run to the east side where the red lights and keep going east through a wall. Open the big door to get a computer area map. You can get an invulnerability by opening the east wall. (sector 269)
  12. Head back to the southwest side of the building and head to the nearest cage. Head east and use the button at the turn. Quickly run back to the southwest and go east through the door (it is behind Secret #5, and it may be easier to trigger it to get this secret). The hall beyond has partial invisibility, stimpacks, ammo, armor bonuses, and health bonuses. (sector 186)
  13. In Secret #11, lower the east wall and use the switch. Head back outside and head to the east side near the bars. Go through the open door and head south to get a BFG9000. (sector 190)
  14. Open the north wall in Secret #12 to find six backpacks. (sector 299)
  15. In the northwest room, run over the rectangle as you head back outside, then run north and east to the steps that lowered and go down them before they rise. Press four switches to find two more, then press those two. Leave and head back to the east side of the building to see the columns lowering, containing ammo, medikits, and stimpacks. (sector 167)
  16. In the northwest room of the building, solve the lift puzzle to get energy cells, a BFG9000, and the exit. (sector 307)
