Walkthrough[edit]
Essentials[edit]
Step forward to open the elevator doors and kill the shotgun guys waiting outside them, then go through the north doorway to find some more zombies guarding an armor and a deep hole. Drop down the hole to land on a radiation shielding suit and super shotgun, then step forward into a nukage-filled hall with three green buildings; each building contains a button that must be pressed to lower the bars at the south-east end. Drop down the hole behind the bars to land on another radiation suit, then quickly kill the zombies, imps and revenants in the nukage ahead before crossing to the door on the east side. Behind the door are two staircases going north and south, which have imps, chaingunners and a Hell knight guarding each of them—go up both staircases and flip a switch at the top of each one, then go back to the nukage pool to find that the pillar holding the blue keycard has lowered. Watch out for cacodemons that are released when you collect the key.
Climb out of the pit then open the small door on the north side to confront a demon and shotgun guys, who are guarding a blue key door. Go through the next door to enter a round cavern with imps and arachnotrons (plus two pain elementals on Ultra-Violence (UV) and Nightmare (NM) skill levels), then go through to the north end and open another blue door to enter a small room with imps and knights, along with an arch-vile on UV and NM. Press the button at the back of the room to lower a teleporter then enter it to go back to the nukage pit, where the pillar holding the red keycard has now lowered. Taking the key will open two platforms ahead holding lost souls, as well as pain elementals on Hurt Me Plenty or higher.
Climb out of the pit again and open the small door on the south side to enter a U-shaped corridor with a demon and zombies. Open the door at the south-west end of the corridor to enter a large cave with a central brown building, kill the imps, zombies and demons that protect it then press the three buttons at the east, south and west ends of the cave to lower the bars blocking the building entrances. Go inside the building to confront up to four revenants, then press the skull switch on the north-east wall to lower the central column and reveal the exit teleporter.
Bethesda Edition[edit]
The Bethesda Edition makes the following changes:
- In the room below the starting point, the walkway on the south-west side of the nukage has been extended slightly. Two tunnels have been added to the room below the starting point, making it safer to reach the doorway at the east end of the nukage.
- The lift connecting the center room with the area below the starting point has been replaced with a teleporter, which replaces the red pad that was located there. As a consequence of this change, the teleporter at the north end of the map now goes to the middle of the center room.
- One of the backpacks inside the pit in the center room has been replaced with a rocket launcher. Two radiation suits have also been added on either side of the lift inside the pit, and four more suits have been added by the east door.
- The cavern north of the center room contains only one arachnotron, rather than two to four.
- Four of the chaingunners at the east end of the map have been replaced with rocketeers, along with a revenant on the east side of the center room.

- In the cave north of the first blue door, open the indented rock wall to the east of the second blue door and follow the cave around until you reach a megasphere. (sector 326)
- In the U-shaped hallway south of the red door, find the flickering panel at the bend (east) and press it, then enter the dark space to the west, near the red door, to reach a rocket launcher. (sector 264 in the original edition, sector 289 in the Bethesda Edition)
- At the final cave area, head to the northwest part of it and enter a tunnel to find a megaarmor. (sector 327)
