MAP08: Tryx 'n Traps is the eighth map of Hellcore 2.0. It was designed by Devon West (Darkfyre) and uses the music track "".

Other points of interest[edit]


  1. Open the door north of the starting room and open the green wall on the right side between the pipes. You will find health and armor bonuses, a chainsaw, and a green armor (this item will not appear on Ultra-Violence or higher). (sector 142)
  2. There are two shootable switches in the blue key room, both of which are visible if you look from the western side of the room towards the east. Shoot the one that is on the southern column to open up two compartments with a megaarmor and a box of rockets. (sector 230)
  3. In the same room as Secret #2, shoot the switch on the northern column to obtain a box of rockets and a medikit. (sector 233)
  4. In the teleporter maze, go until you are just south of a computer area map. Run north to pick it up, and you should then teleport to the right side of the maze. Manuever through this part of the maze (remember to step on the panels that are not blinking, otherwise you will have to start over). When you reach the end, you should teleport onto the soul sphere in the northwest corner of the maze. (sector 278)
  5. When you reach the room past the minefield in the southern portion of the map, open the door at the south end. When you walk through, a lift lowers behind you, containing numerous amounts of ammo. (sector 794)
