MAP09: Fields of Asphodel is the ninth map of Irkalla. It was designed by Peerdolius and uses the music track "Massacre Machine" by Nathan Maxx (Lippeth), from Plutonia MIDI Pack.

Walkthrough

Map of Fields of Asphodel

Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Secrets

1. When you enter the southwest lava cave, go through the northwest lavafall to find armor bonuses, a box of ammo, a box of rockets, and a berserk pack. (sector 310)
2. In the northeast room, enter the northwest alcove when it opens and use the south symbol. Quickly run east, then onto the north wall. Ride up and use the north wall to find a passage leading to ammo clips, a rocket, a box of ammo, and a megasphere. (sector 1977)
3. At the southwest end of the end fortress, drop to a platform with energy cells and a soul sphere. (sector 2683)
