MAP09: Monday Morning is the ninth map of Congestion 1024, set within a castle which the player has to assault. It was designed by Jeffrey Graham (psyren) and the music on this map is a MIDI rendition of Rammstein's "Mein Herz brennt".

Another version of this map is MAP11 of Crimson Canyon.

Walkthrough

Map of Monday Morning

Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Essentials

At the start, move forward and go up both sets of stairs. Open the door, make your way up the stairs and go right. Flip the switch, turn around and go through the door. Climb the stairs and continue straight ahead until you reach some bars. Turn left, open the door then follow the stairway down to a switch. Press it and return to the bars to find them open. Move past the door on your left and press the switch next to the door to lower it. Enter the room and use the switch in front, slightly to your left to open the bars to your right. Go through the bars and flip the switch at the end to finish the level.

Secrets

1. Northeast of your starting position is a part of the northern wall that looks different. Press that part to find an armor. (sector 109)
2. In the eastern part of the map, in the outdoor area, there are two alcoves behind bars that will eventually lower. Pressing the southwestern part of the southern alcove will reveal a megasphere. (sector 105)
3. In the arachnotron room (western part of the map), press the part of the southern wall east of the switch (it has a different texture). Behind it, you will find a box of shotgun shells and a medikit. (sector 107)
