MAP09: The Palace is the ninth map of The Talosian Incident. It was designed by John Bye (Gestalt666), who also composed the music track.

Secrets[edit]
- North of the door leading to the blue key, there is a room in the northwest with two switches. Press both of these switches, then head east up the steps and open the next door. The two doors here will be open, leading to Secret #1 and Secret #2. Enter the western room for a partial invisibility. (sector 169)
- Enter the eastern room for a berserk pack. (sector 170)
- Press the switch directly south of the yellow key, then enter Secret #1 to find an open door. Inside is a rocket launcher, rockets, former humans, and a switch. This switch opens the room opposite of the blue key room. (sector 172)
- South of the door leading to the blue key, there is a room in the southwest with two switches. Press both of these switches, then head east up the steps and open the next door. The two doors here will be open, leading to Secret #4 and Secret #5. Enter the western room for a green armor. (sector 209)
- Enter the eastern room mentioned in Secret #4 to get a soul sphere. (sector 232)
- Press the switch directly north of the yellow key, then enter Secret #4 to find an open door. Inside is a rocket launcher, rockets, former humans, and a switch. This switch opens a hall to the southeast where you can get a plasma rifle and a shortcut back to the starting point. (sector 211)
- When you get the soul sphere in the previous secret, another secret room opens up with a revenant and some stimpacks. (sector 237)
- Open the wall behind the red key to find a rocket launcher, armor bonuses, and rockets. (sector 305)
- Monsters will appear in the side rooms where the red key is located once, you approach the red key. Both side rooms count as secrets, and both secrets have medikits inside. (sector 299)
