MAP09: Welsh coal mines is the ninth map of Sepia. It was designed by Petyan and uses the MIDI rendition of "Jungle (South-east Asia)" by Hayato Matsuo, from Front Mission 3 (sequenced by Thomash Lee), as its music track.

- South from the starting steps, jump into a well that has a berserk pack. (sector 19)
- Go back to the starting steps and jump southeast into a cave. Go through it to get health bonuses and a backpack. (sector 112)
