Walkthrough[edit]

Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Essentials[edit]

Go to the room south of the entrance, which contains two large console banks in the central raised area. On the inside of the banks are two consoles with 'switch' symbols on the screens above them. Press both consoles, which unlock the forcefield controls in the entrance room, and return to the entrance room.

To the east and west are two rooms barred by forcefields. These lead to dispensers for health and armor (in the west) and weapons (in the east). The consoles next to them will disable the forcefields for a few seconds; go through the one of your choice and through the conveyor at the other side of the room. This will lead you to a room with a large central pillar, which has two consoles facing a glass-fronted structure containing a number of items (health, armor or weapons).

Press the left-hand console, and a light will come on in the glass-fronted structure, highlighting one particular item. After a few seconds, another light will come on, highlighting another item, and so on until all the items have been highlighted. If you press the right-hand console, a copy of the highlighted item will be spawned in the space between the consoles.

This is your first opportunity in the WAD to obtain a plasma gun.

There is another conveyor beyond the dispenser room; in both cases this leads to a room with a teleporter-based monster trap and a mechanism which spawns a soulsphere (on the western side) or a megasphere (in the east). For obvious reasons, both of them only work once.

The corridor to the north of the travel tube contains a room with some ammo and a translator charging booth. The room is located on the left branch of the T-junction, and to unlock it, you must activate the console found in the forward branch.

When you have what you need, return to Brig.
