MAP10: Outside the Box is the tenth map of MAYhem 2023. It was designed by MObreck and uses the MIDI rendition of "Level 4" by David Wise, from Battletoads/Double Dragon (sequenced by Robert Hansson), as its music track.

Walkthrough

Map of Outside the Box

Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Secrets

1. In the starting room, push a wall to the northeast to get armor bonuses and a box of shotgun shells. (sector 325)
2. In the large storage room, go to the east side and find the silver crate. Push it to find health bonuses, shotgun shells, and a super shotgun. (sector 439)
3. Climb the two slopes at the west side and shoot the vent there to access the vent shaft. You can get to various locations around the storage area using this shaft. (sector 648)
4. In the vent shaft mentioned above, head to the south end, then head north in the middle. Jump to the crates to the north and climb up to get a megaarmor. (sector 17)
5. In the room northwest of the storage area, go to the north end and push a wall to the east with a lightning symbol. You will find a backpack, health bonuses, shotgun shells, and a box of shotgun shells. (sector 541)
6. In the west area with bridges over water, go to either the northwest or southwest waterfalls and go through them. The northwest one contains armor bonuses and an energy cell pack. The southwest one contains health bonuses, boxes of shotgun shells, and a backpack. (sector 1237)
7. In the hall southwest of the bridges, push a wall to the south and go through the portal to get shotgun shells, an energy cell pack, a megasphere, and a computer area map. (sector 537)
8. Grab the red key and head northeast to the open door to find energy cell packs and a soul sphere. (sector 1562)
