MAP11: Monday Morning is the eleventh map of Crimson Canyon. It was designed by Jeffrey Graham and uses a MIDI rendition of the Rammstein song "Mein Herz brennt" as its music track.

This map also appeared in Congestion 1024 as MAP09: Monday Morning.

Walkthrough[edit]

Essentials[edit]

Kill the shotgun guy ahead then go up the stairs next to it; when you turn left at the top, the wall ahead will open to reveal a Hell knight and a shotgun guy and imp will appear behind you. Collect the nearby super shotgun and go up another staircase next to it, then go through the door at the top to enter the east room. Go to the stairs at the back of the room to release the knight from the nearby alcove, then follow the ledge at the top of the stairs to a switch and flip it to open the door behind you, releasing another knight along with more imps. Go through the door and head up the stairs to find some imps in front of a set of bars, then go to them and head south past a chaingunner to another door. Open the door to enter a circular room with a pain elemental and press the gargoyle switch at the bottom to open the bars you saw earlier.

Go back to the bars to kill another imp (or one or two revenants on Hurt Me Plenty skill level or higher), then go to the end of the corridor and flip the switch here to open the nearby door. Kill the arachnotron and baron of Hell in the next room, press the switch on the south wall to open another set of bars next to it then fight through the spectres behind it to reach the exit switch.

Other points of interest[edit]

Approaching the bars at the north end of the level will open a closet behind you containing lost souls. The closet also holds a rocket launcher and rockets.

Secrets[edit]

  1. As the level starts, open the section of the left-hand (north) wall with a different texture to find an armor. (sector 109)
  2. In the east room, enter the northern alcove to lower the bars in front of the southern alcove. Go into the southern alcove and press the south-west wall to lower a megasphere. (sector 105)
  3. In the west room, open the south-east wall to reveal a medikit and a box of shotgun shells. (sector 107)
