Walkthrough[edit]
Essentials[edit]
Grab the berserk pack and then head on outside (do not go into the cavern yet). Enter the first building you see and hit the switch inside the small tunnel there. Now climb the stairs to retrieve a shotgun and then jump to get a rocket launcher. You will end up inside of the cavern. Head into the tunnel and go through it till you obtain the blue skull key. With your weapons, the monsters that teleport in will be easier to take out. Among them is an arch-vile. When you are finished here, go back outside and head to the second brick building with the blue doors. Enter and go into the computer room to raise a switch up. Press it and head towards the crates to the north to spot the red skull key. Go back outside and use the key on the red switch to open the bars to the exit.
Other points of interest[edit]
Secrets[edit]
- Exit the cave at the start and climb the rocks to your left (go west) all the way up to the shotgun, then strafejump to the ledge with imps and a soul sphere to the east of the top. An easier way to reach this secret is to head to the red key room, and press on the hanging body on the eastern side of the north wall. A passage to the west will open up. Hit the switch at the end of the passage to open the window and jump to the ledge. (sector 19)
- When you grab the medikits near the blue key door, go back to the cave exit to find an alcove (slightly west from the exit) open with a cacodemon and a chaingun. (sector 142)
- From the last secret, go east. Press on the differently textured part of the southern rock wall to find a revenant guarding a megaarmor and medikits. (sector 143)
- On the western side of the map, go through the darker cave to find a megasphere and boxes of rockets. (sector 170)
Bugs[edit]
Two zombies in the eastern building (things 48, 49) can see through the brick wall below the demon face texture, alerting them if you're loitering outside.[1] This occurs because of a bug in the line of sight code involving the zombies' x coordinate of 544.
