MAP11: UAC Base X is the eleventh map of the megawad Scythe 2. It was designed by Erik Alm and uses the music track of Dr Wily 2 from Mega Man 7. It is the first map of the industrial episode, the third episode in Scythe 2.

Walkthrough[edit]

Essentials[edit]

At the start, move forward and climb the stairs to your right. From the top turn left and continue straight ahead until you reach the yellow switch to your left. Opposite of the switch is a passageway leading to the yellow key. Once you've collected the key press the aforementioned switch and drop down the now accessible ledge(s). Ahead you'll face the blue door: remember its location and turn right into an outdoor room with some crates and a switch.

In front of the switch is a path leading outside from the previous room that is blocked by bars, so flip the switch to lower the bars. Go through the path into a storage room to your right containing the red key in an alcove to the left of some barrels. Get back indoors and open the red door slightly to your right leading into the starting room, then take the red door straight ahead. Continue forward, moving past three doors into another outside area, then turn left, approach the blue bars and use the switch to the left.

Return to the three doors which are now open, then lower the lift and turn right to find the blue key. As you pick it up the blue bars will lower and the way to the starting room will be blocked. Drop down from the blue bars and go to your left to find a blue door. Go through it and continue past the various rooms until you see a hole in front of you, fall in it to raise the bars blocking your exit. Go back to the first blue door and go through it. Turn right, move past the hallway, open the exit door and flip the switch to your right to end the level.

Secrets[edit]

  1. Along the green-floored halls that lead to the yellow key, press the part of the eastern wall that the light is shining on to reveal a passage to the megaarmor. (sector 92)
  2. When you grab the blue key, the blue bars to the north will open. From where they were, go northwest, and up the stairs and around, until you see a hole. Run across this hole (which will also open the bars blocking you from exiting) all the way to the other side to obtain a rocket launcher. (sector 378)
