MAP12: E2M4: Fissure is the twelfth map of The Magenta Spire. It was designed by Cole Bryden (thelamp) and uses the music track "Storage Facility," originally composed by Andrew Benon for Chex Quest.

Secrets[edit]

  1. Head to the southwesternmost part of the map. Head northeast up the steps and continue in that direction to get rockets and a rocket launcher. (sector 504)
  2. Head east of the rocket launcher in Secret #1 and go through the south wall. Continue south to pick up stimpacks and boxes of rockets. (sector 561)
  3. In the large area at the north end, head west from the middle. Before the surrounding hall, go north through the wall to get boxes of ammo. (sector 659)
  4. Continue north from Secret #3 to find an energy cell pack. Use the switch here to get to another energy cell pack. (sector 627)
  5. See Secret #4. This secret is the two switches on the north and south sides, adjacent to Secret #4. You cannot trigger these secret sectors due to their size. (sector 113)
  6. Head southwest from the large area at the north end. There are three strange rocks on the left side with energy cells on them. Jumping to any of these rocks will net you this secret. (sector 176)
  7. Head east from Secret #5, going up the steps on the east side. Lower the window and ride it all the way up. Face south and shoot the eye switch, which lowers a pillar with a plasma gun. (sector 140)
  8. At the east side, fall off near the radiation suit and go to the nearest berserk pack. Open the west wall there to get a box of shotgun shells and a shotgun. (sector 602)
  9. In the southeast room, go to the northwest corner and lower the north wall to get a green armor and a radiation suit. (sector 283)
  10. From the northeast end of the map, head southwest through a silver path until you find a vent to the south. Go through it, then head west and press the switch tucked in the wall. Leave this area, head east, and drop to where the yellow door is. Open it, then head to the area to the south where radiation suits are. Go to the northeast radiation suit, then use the switch behind it. Quickly run back north and towards the cursed BFG9000. The floor will rise up allowing you to get the BFG9000. (sector 570)
