MAP12: Lobachevsky Hyperdrive is the twelfth map of Temporal Tantrum. It was designed by Washing Machine Enthusiasts and uses the music track "Dread Factory" by MFG38, except for the final area which uses "Spinal" from Killer Instinct 2. MUSINFO is used to change the track. The par time defined in UMAPINFO is 5:00.

Walkthrough

Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Secrets

1. In the blue key area, note all the walls with scrolling faces. Head to the northwest side to find a wall without a fence in front of it. Go through it to find a switch. (sector 292)
2. In the southwest ring, head to the inner part and through the southeast wall without a fence to get a backpack. (sector 243)
3. If you used the switch in Secret #1, you can head south along the catwalk from Secret #2 to get to a megaarmor. (sector 241)
4. In the southwest ring, enter the hall of candles and find the wall on the east side without a candle. Open it and head through, then get the green armor behind the east banners. (sector 494)
5. Use the blue torch in Secret #4 to open a wall to the west, which leads to a chaingun. (sector 487)
6. Head to the end of the hall after Secret #5 and use the wall at the dead end. This opens the Hitler portraits on the way back, containing a soul sphere and boxes of ammo. (sector 520)

8. In the main arena, there are two green torches at the northwest and northeast ends. Use them, then head to the north cage which has a BFG9000. (sector 644)

Inspiration and development

The name of this map is a reference to MAP04: Lobachevsky Overdrive from 2048 Units of /vr/, which has a similar concept of a non-Euclidean circle where running laps around the perimeter changes the central area.
