MAP12: Palms is the twelfth map of Doomworld Maximum Project 2022. It was designed by Zoltán Schmidt (Katamori) and uses the MIDI rendition of "Resonance" by HOME as its music track.

Walkthrough

Map of Palms

Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Secrets

1. At the entrance to the north building, head to the west pillars and go behind the north one to find a switch. Flip it and quickly run east to the lowered pillar. Past it, run north and west to get backpacks, a megaarmor, a berserk pack, and partial invisibility. (sector 34)
2. In the central area with the vine structure, go to the north wall and use the pentagram. Head south of the structure to a compartment that opens with a mancubus, energy cells, and a BFG9000. (sector 129)
3. When you enter the south area, head up the rocks nearby and to the highest rock near the entrance corridor. Jump back to the entrance corridor and a teleporter will appear. Take it to get a soul sphere (not on Hey, Not Too Rough or lower). (sector 326)

Trivia

• The map was inspired by and named after the track of the same name by synthwave artist Quixotic. A picture of him and the map author is hidden in one of the secrets.
