MAP12: Thirty Below is the twelfth map of 1000 Lines 2 - Community Project. It was designed by Dreadopp and uses the music track "The Infinite Labyrinth" by Tristan Clark.

Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.


Collect the chaingun and clips on your right then follow the path north past some imps until you reach a door guarded by a Hell knight. Go through the door and collect a shotgun, which is guarded by a chaingunner and shotgun guys, then enter the tunnel on the north-west side and kill the spectres here before walking through the west doorway; kill the zombies that ambush you from either side then walk west to collect a super shotgun guarded by another knight. Walk south through another doorway and kill a revenant (or arch-vile on Ultra-Violence (UV) and Nightmare (NM) skill levels) that lowers in front of you, then follow the path south past more imps until you drop into an ice cave with a rocket launcher and armor in the middle. Pressing the button by the center column will lower it and reveal the red skull key, but you will have to contend with imps, knights, cacodemons and pain elementals (plus barons of Hell on Hurt Me Plenty or higher) before you can escape.

Once the bars in the south-east corner of the cave have lowered, go through them to find a metal lift and ride it up then press the skull switch on the east wall to lower it so you can return to the starting point. Follow the path north again, passing some revenants and arachnotrons that have teleported in, to where you found the shotgun then kill some waiting shotgun guys before opening the red door in the north wall. Kill the knight (or baron on UV and NM) waiting behind the door then walk round to a lift and ride it up to a button that will open three large walls in front of you. Go through the walls and collect the supplies here before pressing the button in the middle of the room, as it will lower the west wall to reveal a cyberdemon; you will also need to deal with mancubi, imps and knights that teleport in (plus two barons and an arch-vile on HMP or higher). Once the bars behind the cyberdemon have lowered, go through them and follow the path until you drop down to a pool of water; the level will automatically end at this point.

  1. Open the red door and take the lift up. As soon as you step off the lift you will hear a different lift lower to your left. Quickly get off the platform to the south and run east, then north-east to the red door, then south to get a supercharge. (sector 171)
