MAP12: Utopia is the twelfth map of Revolution!. It was designed by Thomas van der Velden (t.v.). When played with the Revolution! MIDI Pack, this level uses the music track "Midnight Dinner," composed by Oleg Vovk (CWolf) and James Paddock (Jimmy). In the Doom Classic Unity port release of Revolution!, the music track is "On Lockdown" by James Paddock, taken from the Rebirth MIDI Pack.

Walkthrough[edit]
Essentials[edit]
(The following walkthrough was played on Ultra-Violence difficulty and for 100% in all three categories as noted.)
You will begin on a raised teleporter with a zombieman visible to your right. Hop down, grab the armor bonuses to your right, and the shells behind the crate to your left, and kill the shotgunner and zombieman to the south. Grab the deceased's shotgun and continue south. Take out the additional shotgunner and zombiemen behind the crates. At the southern end of the room, grab the megaarmor and box of shotgun shells. Head west down the stairs.
You will emerge into a large outdoor area. There will be two Hell knights on top of pillars, multiple demons, and there will be shotgunners and zombiemen. How exactly you wish to handle them (and the other monsters out here) is up to you. One tactic is to grab the chainsaw to your left if you wish to save ammo by butchering the demons. Forward and slightly to the east will be the aforementioned shotgunners and zombiemen among several barrels. Kill them by shooting the barrels, and then you can use remaining barrels for the demons. There will be a plasma gun on a small pedestal. Taking it will trigger an inverted crucifix shape to open in the wall, through which several lost souls will emerge. Up some stairs between the Hell knight pillars is a super shotgun and more shells, with which you can kill the knights with ease. You may also choose to instead first go around to the west side of the building. To your right will be three revenants on top of another structure. Past them will be armor bonuses and a berserk pack which you can use to take out the demons instead. Kill the revenants with whatever weapon you wish.
Whatever method you chose on that western side of the large outdoor area, you must now go east to the other side. There will be another three revenants on top of another structure. To the south there are medikits and another box of shells. This side is more difficult. A mancubus sits atop another raised area to the northeast, with another one a bit past it along with the yellow key. Chaingunners will fire at you from the north and from northwest windows. A partial invisibility and armor bonuses sit in front of the revenant building and health bonuses sit behind it along with another medikit. A rocket launcher and several rockets sit to the north near the chaingunners. One tactic is to grab the partial invisibility, run north and grab the launcher, while letting the chaingunners attack each other via monster infighting to save ammo. You can also get the chaingunners in the western building to attach each other as well. Mop up survivors, take out the revenants and mancubi. There will be a backpack and computer area map on the revenant platform for later.
Back where you got the berserk pack will be a pillar you can lower for another megaarmor (secret 1). It will be up to you when to get it, depending on how much damage you have taken. There will be yet another megaarmor in the next area.
Go west past the northwest (not the north) chaingunner building and press a lion face to lower a lift. An arachnotron waits above. After killing it, go up the stairs and collect the chainguns from the fallen gunners. Another medikit and megaarmor can be found here along with a box of bullets. Strafejump out the window at the top of the stairs and onto the building where the three revenants were to collect the backpack and computer area map (secret 2). Return to the lion head lift, but this time use it to jump into the building to the north.
Grab the box of shells at the entrance window. There will be a damaging floor and two cacodemons hiding behind pillars. Either snipe them with a few bullets to lure them out, or quickly run across the damaging floor to the northwest up to the second chaingunner platform and dispose of them there. Gather more chainguns and head through the western opening. (You may hear the sound of several monsters infighting from behind a wall as you pass. They do not seem to be able to harm you. Feel free to move around to allow them to kill as many of themselves as possible.) Press the lion head in this short tunnel to grab the yellow key from the mancubus platform. Grab the two armor bonuses while here.
Head back to the yellow door, which is between the two Hell knight pillars from earlier. Grabbing the soul sphere will open the door in front of you to reveal a cyberdemon, so grab the multitude of energy cells in this room first before grabbing the soul sphere (which will bring you to 100% items). Dispose of it with the plasma. There are two additional boxes of bullets in the room from which it emerged. You will see several candles on the floor in front of the southwest pillar in this room. Press the skull switch on this pillar. This will reveal another skull switch on the northeast pillar, which will reveal another switch on the northwest pillar, which will reveal another switch on the southeast pillar, which will open a passage in the room from which the cyberdemon emerged. Several Hell knights will have spawned on the western building where the revenants once were, and their energy blasts can go through the western windows and hit you, so be careful. Go through it and kill the cacodemon and demons. Take the hall around and you will see an arachnotron at the end of a room with many barrels that you can use to damage or kill it. Once that is done, grab the red key and rockets at the end of the room.
The original entrance to the area you are in will have closed, so go down the stairs to the west, where the barriers will automatically rise. This will trigger multiple imps, zombiemen, chaingunners, and shotgunners to teleport in on the pad where you got the rocket launcher as well as around the corner. You can use monster infighting here if you wish, and then mop up any survivors. You can also pick off the ones teleporting in near you one by one as they appear. In any case, make sure everyone of them in the outside area is dead, including those coming in from around the corner where you got the plasma gun.
Return to the area west of the cyberdemon room where the previously mentioned Hell knights have appeared. Kill them from ground level to make it easier. The press the red banner (which is the red key door) and lower the platform. A cacodemon will be on it along with a box of shells. Once the cacodemon is dead, lower the platform, and quickly move counterclockwise around and through a false, lighter colored wall to get a backpack (secret 3). You will now have 100% secrets.
Take the lift back up to the top. You are now at the home stretch, and you will hear the distinctive sound of arch-viles. Moving into the next area, there will be four arch-viles, each on top of a pillar in a square formation, with a mancubus in the center. If you have enough rockets and plasma left, disposing of them should be easy. Otherwise you will need to make good use of cover to kill them all. This will bring you to 100% kills. Be VERY CAREFUL not to fall into the lava in this area, as there is no way back out other than an arch-vile jump. Step on the teleporter pad where the mancubus was to exit the map.
