MAP13: Assault is the thirteenth map of Claustrophobia 1024. It was designed by Josh Sealy (Joshy), and uses a MIDI rendition of the music track "Airbase" from Perfect Dark, sequenced by Iceplug.

Walkthrough[edit]

Essentials[edit]

Kill the surrounding monsters using the nearby shotgun, then open the door in the south-east corner and flip the switch behind it to raise some steps up to the chaingunner's platform. Walk round the fences to drop into a pool, kill the revenant that comes through the west door then go through it and turn left to kill two or three waiting chaingunners. Climb up the ladder to another switch and flip it to lower some bars in the pool below, then go back outside and head through the bars, ready to kill a Hell knight that rises from the water. Enter the next room and clear out any demons that teleport in, then go up the steps in the south-west corner and destroy some lost souls (plus cacodemons on Hurt Me Plenty skill level or higher) that appear in the overhead windows. Follow the ledge round to another switch and flip it to open a wall in the opposite corner; behind it are a baron of Hell and two chaingunners, who are guarding a super shotgun and the red keycard.

Enter the nearby teleporter to go to the room above, ready to kill an imp and knight that rise from the floor as you step off. Flip the switch in the south-west corner, then go through the door that opens in the north wall to get back to the starting area where a pain elemental and knight have appeared. Flip the locked switch by the starting point, then go back to the west room to find that the red bars here have opened allowing you to reach the switch behind them. Flip this switch then go back to the south room, passing a mancubus on the way, to see that the center column has opened and revealed a hole that you can drop down to finish the level.

Secrets[edit]

  1. To the south of the brown metal bars at the start of the level, there is a diagonal section of wall on a ledge. This part of the wall is hollow; jump into it from the bars to get fifty armor bonuses. (sector 21)
  2. East of the red keycard, there is a misaligned section of the wall which is false. Walk through it to get a medikit and a backpack. (sector 324)
