MAP13: Inner City is the thirteenth map of Into Sandy's Cities. It was designed by GermanPeter.

Essentials[edit]

This level is large and complicated, and it is easy to get lost. If you need help, there are several numbers on the ground that can be seen in the automap. When you exit the starting platform, a massive structure in the center will lower, revealing barons of Hell and/or cyberdemons. The streets of the city have many weapons and a lot of ammo scattered around, including energy cells, a chaingun, a shotgun, a rocket launcher, and many stimpacks. If you approach the northern section, some pain elementals and cacodemons will be released, but here you can grab a chainsaw, a partial invisibility, a berserk, and an invulnerability. Enter the building with the number one below it. Kill the heavy weapon dudes and imps, then follow the corridor around to grab the yellow keycard.

Next, enter the south-western-most building (with a two next to it) by opening the hatch next to it and pulling the switch behind it. Work your way through, killing many demons, then kill the Hell knight(s) and step on the teleporter. Work your way past these revenants, then grab the blue keycard.

Enter the building with a three next to it, then go up and access the teleporter to your right (you may have to jump off of the moving lift to do this). Kill the barons or Hell knight, then grab the red key and use the teleporter.

Enter the south-eastern-most structure, kill the enemies, then open the door and step on the platform to exit the level.

Other points of interest[edit]

Secrets[edit]

  1. Enter the building west of the yellow key building and go all the way to the last switch which has a teleporter. Take it and go clockwise in this area until you are in the southeast quadrant. Open the blue banner in the middle to get a computer area map. (sector 77)
  2. Go back to the northeast quadrant and jump east to a ledge with a box of shotgun shells and a box of ammo. Open the door to get a megasphere and energy cell packs. (sector 73)
  3. Climb the steps around the yellow key building, and at the southwest end, run and jump south through a cage to get a megaarmor. (sector 76)
  4. Go behind the northeast building and enter the teleporter to find a large lift with a super shotgun and a box of shotgun shells. (sector 103)
  5. As the lift with Secret #4 descends, the south wall will soon open up. Get on it to get a soul sphere. (sector 100)
  6. From the yellow key building, jump to the blood to the north and go behind the middle block to find backpacks and a megasphere. (sector 114)
  7. You can enter the building south of the yellow key building by going around its south or east sides. Enter the small room and go behind the small pole at the west wall, which opens a wall to the north with boxes of rockets, energy cell packs, and a backpack. (sector 154)
  8. Get inside the building west of the lava in the center. Press the northeast switch, then quickly run into the south room, pressing the switch there. Leave and repeat the process in the room to the west, then the one after that one, which opens the northwest room containing a berserk pack, a backpack, and an energy cell pack. (sector 215)
  9. Get inside the building west of the lava in the center. Go to the northeast switch and jump to the structure to the north. Doing this lowers the entire structure, with a BFG9000 in the center. (sector 229)
