MAP13: The Crucible is the thirteenth map of Anomaly Report. It was designed by Michael Jan Krizik (valkiriforce) and uses the music track "Give In (With Pleasure)," originally composed by Mark Klem for Memento Mori II. The par time defined in MAPINFO is 2:35.

Walkthrough[edit]
Essentials[edit]
You begin in the south-west corner of the map. Go north-east across a bridge with a shotgun, which is overlooked by two imps (or revenants on Ultra-Violence (UV) and Nightmare (NM) skill levels), then go north to a chaingun and approach the dark wall behind it to lower it. Continue north past some windows with zombiemen behind them until you run into a shotgun guy, then go north to the stepped building ahead (which will open a closet behind you containing demons) and run north to jump over the nukage trench and land in the doorways on the other side. Kill any monsters waiting inside the building then go down the stairs at the north end of the room to find two cacodemons and one or two revenants guarding a lion switch. Press the switch to raise the floor up to a second switch behind you, which will lower the red skull key on the other side of the room.
Take one of the radiation shielding suits on either side of the red key, then drop into the nukage trench outside and go east or west—going west leads to a teleporter that sends you to the building on the west side of the map, while going east leads to a lift that you can use to climb on to a bridge near the level exit. Once you are out of the nukage, return to the building east of the starting point and go through the red door on its east side, then collect the blue skull key in front of you to summon a pack of imps. Go to the building in front of the starting point and enter it using the blue key, then go down the stairs to lower the wall ahead and reveal zombies along with one or two revenants. Use the lift that the revenants were standing on to go up to a switch and flip it to open a teleporter opposite the blue door, then enter the teleporter to go to the south-east area of the map, where four columns have lowered to reveal the yellow key as well as a spectre (or four on Hurt Me Plenty or higher).
Go to the north-east area and go down the stairs between the pillars, then head north into a trench which leads to a yellow door. Go through the door and kill any mancubi waiting in the next room, then flip all four switches on the north and south walls (they will open one at a time) to open the final door and reveal the exit teleporter, which is defended by a pain elemental on UV and NM.

- In the starting area, head to the north-east bridge and jump over the east railing. Head east to get a partial invisibility. (sector 238)
- Inside the west building, head to switch at the north end and then west, opening a closet to the south. Open the south-west wall to get a computer area map. (sector 143)
- Get on the bridge north of the start and enter the water to the east. Take the path north and west to a lift, lowering it and flipping the switch there. Ride the lift up and head to the west side of the west building. Take the teleporter there to get health bonuses. (sector 192)
