Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Essentials[edit]

Go down the steps to your right and collect a berserk pack at the bottom, then follow the nearby conveyor belt to a marble tower and climb up to the top. Head north through two doors to a large arena, collecting a megaarmor and super shotgun on the way, then flip the switch in the center of the arena to release a tyrant. Kill the tyrant to lower the floor of the arena and reveal four more tyrants along with a cyberdemon, who will infight with each other, then flip the switches inside all five closets to transform the arena into a maze and open the surrounding doors, revealing vassagos on Hurt Me Plenty (HMP) skill level or higher. There are red and blue skull keys at the west and east ends of the maze respectively, but taking either key will open closets containing vassagos (or arch-viles on HMP or higher) on both sides. After getting one key, go to the opposite side of the maze (you do not need to collect the second key) then head north to find a skull switch and press it to open the way forward.

Go up the stairs and open the door at the top to get a megasphere, then flip the switch in front of you to raise a warhead from the silo ahead; once it stops, the north-east and north-west walls will lower to reveal a number of vassagos that you should kill using the calamity blade in front of the warhead. Enter the east and west launch sites and press the eye switches in each site to open two chambers containing more vassagos, as well as a third chamber in the center which (on HMP or higher) contains up to 24 arch-viles. Press another eye switch in the third chamber to open the way to the final launch site, take the megasphere here then flip the switch on the control console at the north end to release 12 tyrants from each side of the site; stay on the move to avoid the barrage of rockets. Killing all the tyrants will open the control console, letting you activate the computer inside it to open the portal ahead—you can now go through the portal, then activate the computer at the top of the steps ahead to finish the game.
