MAP14: Heavy Rain is the fourteenth map of Into Sandy's Cities. It was designed by GermanPeter.
Partway through the map, the water level in the city the map takes place in rises, allowing the player to access an entirely separate level of the map. Later, the water level is lowered, allowing the player to access the exit.

Walkthrough[edit]
Essentials[edit]
As soon as you start, go straight ahead and around the corner. There are many former humans here in an open area. This is roughly the center of the map. Kill them all, then turn right and take a passageway into an area with imps overlooking it. Take the stairs to the right, and grab the chaingun, as it will come in handy later. Jump from where the chaingun was to a building across this area, and grab the blue skull key. When you grab it, though, a nearby closet will open up, containing a revenant, a stimpack, and a box of shells. Also, the weather outside will become more gloomy. Go back across, and open the blue door.
Behind the blue door, drop down and grab the plasma gun. Then, turn right and mow down the couple of heavy weapon dudes here. Go up the stairs and grab the yellow key. When you do this, all of the water all over the map will rise. Cross to there the heavy weapon dudes were. Go into the hallway behind their corpses, kill the demon, and open the door here to exit this section.
Now that the water level has risen, you can access the hallway to your right with some imps, and from there a nook with two doors with more imps. The one to the right is the red door, which you cannot access yet, so go through the left door. There is a pain elemental here, but there is also a shotgun and a box of shells. Open the next door, kill the lost souls and keep going. In this open area, you can access multiple doors, though watch out for the imps. Take the door behind the imps to find some former humans, then, in the next hallway, a mancubus on HMP and harder, and two imps otherwise. The next room has some cacodemon(s) and the red key.
Of note is that, once you get back to the central area, the door on the western-most platform leads to a room with an arch-vile and some imps, and then to some more former humans. Open the red door. Behind it is a small room with two nooks. One has an up arrow, the other has a down arrow. Step into the "down" nook and exit. The exit door is the only yellow door, and is not hard to find, as it is above the central area. Open it, and exit the level.
Other points of interest[edit]
Secrets[edit]
- Go towards the exit door and use the east lamp (or in the small hall south of there, use the north lamp) to reveal a berserk pack and a teleporter. The teleporters in this secret and the next two secrets teleport you to a box of rockets. Be sure to get these three secrets before raising the water level, otherwise you will need to lower it again by entering the northeast room. (sector 112)
- At the west part of the water, head south and use the lamp to the east (or head southeast and use the lamp to the south) to find a backpack and a teleporter. (sector 108)
- In the east section of the water, head south to the connecting land and use the west lamp to find a megaarmor and a teleporter. (sector 109)
- After raising the water level once, head to the south section of water and head east, then north. In the middle, open the west wall to find a super shotgun and stimpacks. (sector 121)
- After raising the water level once, return to the starting point and go through a window to the east to get a rocket, a rocket launcher, and a box of rockets. (sector 66)
