Description[edit]
According to the Hell Revealations infopack:
- Venture into my first strictly vanilla map, complete with my also first attempt at a deathmatch playground included. Primarily inspired by “Metal Meltdown” from Hell Revealed II (as well as other Sam Woodman’s maps), Iota Station is a, well it’s a big hybrid station/base, sort of, and it’s called Iota. That’s pretty much it.
- Figure why the demons are so pissed and help them return to a calm place. The higher the skill setting, the more you’ll be grinding. Good you don’t need all keys to escape… Enjoy =)
- Size: Large
- Difficulty: Medium
Walkthrough[edit]
Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Secrets[edit]
Official[edit]
- In the main hub, head to the southeast blocks and use the taller block from its south side (there will be a UAC logo on the floor, as well as a slight flicker of the usable block side). Head to the northwest corner to get ammo and medikits. (sector 311)
- In the area west of the blue key room, head northwest and the floor will rise up. Find a lion switch on the nearest wood column and use it, then head outside to the west to find a BFG9000, partial invisibility, a megaarmor, a soul sphere, energy cell packs, and a megasphere (another soul sphere on the harder skill levels). (sector 1261)
- The area with the yellow skull key is a secret sector. You can access it from the area west of the cage with health bonuses (from the teleporter south of the cage, use the switch behind you and follow the path) or from a secret vent shaft on the way to the red key area (find the wall with blood on the south side of a corridor). (sector 119)
- Head towards the steps leading to the red key area (this will have the alternate path leading to Secret #3 as well), then backtrack to find three alcoves to the west open. Enter the furthest one, which has a stimpack and a switch. Before pressing the switch, flip the south switch to remove the bars there, then press the switch inside the alcove and quickly run south. Run east, into the blood, then follow it all the way to the bottom. You will find a BFG9000, energy cell packs, a megaarmor, medikits, and either a soul sphere or a megasphere depending on your skill level. Note that this secret can also be accessed without the switch by using an arch-vile jump instead. (sector 1357)
- In the red key area, head to the north switch and use the lion switch on its backside. This opens up the shaft to the east. Take the steps there to get either a megasphere or an invulnerability and medikits depending on your skill level. (sector 1559)
Non-official[edit]
- After riding the platform down near the start of the map, circle around the start building to the northeast side. Here there will be some imp corpses, a candle, and a dead player. Walk through the gate near the candle and run to the northwest of the blood until you walk over a smiley face, which gives you all three keys. To escape the blood, run to the northeast side of it and look south to see a candle. Walking into the candle will teleport you back near the start.
- Right before reaching the main hub, after taking a second lift down you will come across a left and right path, with a marble face in the middle. Run into the marble face to grab a partial invisibility and telefrag a spiderdemon on hard, arachnotron on medium, or a baron of Hell on easy skills. Note that that the player cannot walk through the marble face if the side paths are taken beforehand.
- During the blue key route, you will come across a lift with a cyberdemon (or an arachnotron on lower skill levels). When the lift has lowered, quickly press the wall of the lift to the east to open a teleport which you can use to telefrag the cyberdemon (or arachnotron).
- After gaining the yellow key, there is a yellow door in each of the red and blue key routes. Open the yellow door in the red key route to pick up a berserk and computer area map. Open the yellow key door in the blue key route to pick up an invulnerability.
- Near the exit, there is a yellow door that leads to a secret baron of stone maze mini-game.
