MAP14: MAP24 - Waterside is the fourteenth map of Switcheroom 2. It was designed by Matt Powell (cannonball) and uses the music track "Last Resort" by Jeremy Doyle. It is based on the layout of MAP24: The Chasm.

Walkthrough[edit]
Essentials[edit]
Go straight forward across a bridge to the building in front of you, enter it then go to the north-east corner and flip the switch here to lower two lifts. Ride either lift up to the west side of the building and collect the blue skull key, then go back to the starting point and follow the walkway west and north to a blue door. Go through the door and head west past two slime pits (the pits are inescapable if you fall into them, but they contain a plasma gun and armor that can be reached by running), then go north to a crossroads guarded by one or more cacodemons and arachnotrons. Take the east path to reach a ledge with three bright lights, then step through the lights to open three closets to your right holding demons and chaingunners (on Ultra-Violence (UV) and Nightmare (NM) skill levels you will also release an arch-vile behind you). Flip the switches in the southern and middle closets to open a button inside the northern closet, then press that button to raise a ledge by the crossroads leading to the yellow skull key. Watch out for the spectres and Hell knights/revenants that ambush you when you approach the key.
Retrace your steps to the slime pit that held the plasma gun, then head north past another pit to reach a yellow door. Open the door to find a chaingunner guarding a teleporter, then enter the teleporter to go to a ledge behind you and follow it west to a hole that you can drop down; again, do not fall into the slime in the area below as it is inescapable. Head south past some shotgun guys to a door and go down the stairs behind it to two more doors, then open the south door to enter a room with ammo. Flip the switch at the south end to lower it and reveal one or two revenants (or an arch-vile on UV and NM), as well as releasing demons from the east and west sides, then flip the switches in the west compartment followed by the east compartment to reopen the entrance door. Go back to the slime area and follow the trail of health bonuses to three platforms that have risen to form steps, run up them to the ledge with knights, then go west to an exit door and step in the lava behind it to finish the level.

Secrets[edit]
- Enter the building behind the start and go all the way north-west. Use the west wall which looks different and the switch behind it, then backtrack. Head south up the steps to medikits and boxes of rockets. Take the teleporter to get to platforms that lead to the east end. (sector 51)
- At the west side, head to the east hall and in the middle compartment, open the south-east wall and take the teleporter to get a supercharge. (sector 159)
- Take the teleporter behind the yellow door, then head west. Before the dropoff, find a wall with slime and lower the wall to find a megaarmor, boxes of rockets and an energy cell pack. (sector 182)
