MAP14: Rat Race is the fourteenth map of Nerves of Steel. It was designed by Mike MacDee (Impie) and uses the music track "Chemicals Fuck Yer Spoon" from Duke Nukem: Total Meltdown.

Secrets[edit]
- At the south end, climb the steps and a vent opens to the west. Kill the Ashura inu and then return to the starting area where you can get a nuclear missile launcher in a compartment to the east. (sector 46)
- In the room at the northeast end, head behind the northwest piles to get a nuclear missile. (sector 140)
- After you get the blue key, go to the sewer at the north end and press on the north wall. Go through it to find a medikit and a switch teleporter to a megaarmor, energy cells, and hand grenades. (sector 180)
- Go through the west sewer at the start to get a blur artifact. (sector 183)
- At the northeast end, head through the northeast corner wall to get a plasma repeater. (sector 185)
