Letters in italics refer to marked spots on the map. Sector, thing, and linedef numbers in boldface are secrets which count toward the end-of-level tally.

Essentials[edit]

At the start, move to make the lift lower then face west. Exit the lift, turn left and go through the second opening on your right side. Move past the corridor and go around the next room in anticlockwise fashion until you spot a switch. Flip it, then drop down and go through the now lowered bars as the water pool lowers. Grab the red key then go up the stairs in front of you. Turn left, continue straight ahead and turn left. You should see a switch to your left, so press it to raise bars behind you.

Enter the next room and flip the switch on its right side. Exit this room then move to your left where you will find some more bars have raised. Proceed past this room to find another switch slightly to your left, raising another set of bars opposite of you. Go up the stairs and use the switch to your right to lower the lift nearby. From the upper level, you see four identical pools. Drop down to the southeast one and go through the opening. Open the red bars in front of you and climb up the stairs to reach the railway area again.

Turn right and open the red door to your right. Inside this small room is a switch that lowers the red bars blocking access to the bridge opposite this room. Cross the bridge and press the switch next to the door to open it. Inside this large room, go up the stairs and move to your left. When you reach the window, use the switch next to it and move to the opposite side of the room. Drop down the window and look for the tunnel to your left. Continue through it until you find a switch to your right: flip it to allow access to a room next to it.

Inside, press the switch directly in front. The wall to your left will start to lower, so go through it when it is done and you will be at the other side of the tunnel. Go to the right, following the tunnel until you reach another area filled with water. Continue forward and collect the blue key to your left. Turn around and you should spot a small opening slightly to your right. Go through it and press the switch at the end to lower a lift leading to the starting area. Follow the railway until you reach a set of bars and open the blue door to the right. Use the switch in this room to raise the bars blocking the railway and follow it to the end to exit the level.

Secrets[edit]

  1. When you come to the room with the elevators and cacodemons, go up the first elevator you see and drop down to the opposite side. You will come into a passageway with an alcove around the corner (sector 832). Inside of the alcove, you will find a combat armor and eight shotgun shells, all guarded by revenant and pain elemental.
  2. When you are inside the little small room that requires the red keycard, press the grey plate to the north of the entrance. This will lower a teleporter in the middle of the big room located east of the small room. That teleporter will bring you to the small chamber (sector 1205) with a partial invisibility and ten rockets inside. There is also a shotgun guy in there.
  3. In the big room mentioned in Secret #2, you can see two faces over the entrance. Shoot the one to your left (south) and a door up the stairs will reveal the second switch. Press it to lower a pillar (sector 1071) with a soul sphere on its top. This pillar can be found near the BFG9000 and blue key, in a shallow water pool full of dead cacodemons.
